I have a round white sweet I have taken out of its packaging and chewed a bit but I think it's still a mint.

Seriously, I am getting grief from the missus re the materials I have lying around 'ready' to make my display case for this fantastic collection ... however, I can't really start until I am certain about the height of some forthcoming model boxes - i.e. horsebox, acrostar. It's going to be scraping the ceiling at this rate! Not complaining, but keen to get started.

Also that vexed question, how many models are still to come - when will enough be enough, is GE Fabbri stopping at 100 ... or not?! I still think this forum is brilliant, btw.

Do we need a FAQs section on this forum?? Has that been asked before?!

    Best to all,
    Rhinoman B-)

Nice one Rhinoman!!...I know what you mean..it would be nice to know when( & if ) it will end, only for the sake of knowing what we are going to get in the future..there is no denying it's been a fantastic collection..& I don't think anything like it will ever come out again....enjoy it while you can!!. -{ :007)

Thanks Cammy, although I hope it's a few more than that, it would be great if GE Fabbri had a surprise or two to appear before the finish (maybe 'closing' free gifts for subscribers!). Or a free custom-made display case.

Regarding 96 models, the Wikipedia website - source of all knowledge in 21st Century - states 101 models in their list although I am doubtful about one or two of those listed - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_Car_Collection - for example, will they really repeat the AMC Matador? They do show them as 'unconfirmed'.

I think everyone will be kept guessing for the next few months. [Sorry guys I know I am partly repeating previous conversations but there does seem to be a number of competing lists for the final countdown.] It's quite exciting really!

    Cheers

I was just wondering how other people are going to display their cars?- in issue order, by film or another way. I'm planning on building a cabinet and displaying mine by film- but there is no point starting until the collection is finalised.

I've sorted them by the movie. first I even sorted them by the scene they appear in the film, but then some had an awkward position, so i changed their place. Currently it looks like that:

Definitely by film for me ... but like youself & others are saying, there's no point in finalising display arrangements until we know what the final set is going to be!

I haven't decided what order to place them within each film - I think Bond's car would always be first, followed by those of allies & baddies in whatever order looks visually best.

I always thought a good profit-making wheeze for the makers would be to do a paper mache style setting location that incorporates certain vehicles. The best for me would be the landscape view of Goldfinger in Switzerland, where Connery's Bond is overlooking the Rolls, plus you have the white Masterton sportscar. Except, they can't do the Rolls Royce, but it is available thru Corgi on eBay and you guys can get it. They could flog it for £60 not including the vehicles.

Another iconic set could be the Lotus taking a dive - though they haven't done the Bell Helicopter. But you get my drift. Then again, some of you guys could make your own landscapes, you seem quite handy. The No hearse crashing and Bond's sunbeam, that's another.

    Hi there,

Was very pleased to see the Royal mail on Sunday with my next two instalments of this great collection. The models of the Landrover and Dragon tank. Both are great though intially concerned with the Dragon Tank, it's arrival has added further interest to this collection. It is a great model , more of the same would be good. The speciality obscure vehicles seen in the background of the movies would be great additions to this collection.

Any new sightings of what is to come or potential editions? I have seen the list to 96 and beyond on wiki though there must be an official list at this stage. According to defabbri the collection is now complete at number 85 though my magazine previews a Renault Fuego as the next instalment. The UH models as seen on ebay show other planned models. Anybody got the official line on this?

Also we have not had any specials? I have asked before has this been dropped paticularly as we are so far along in mumbers of instalments?

    cheers

What did you do with your T-55? I've been trying to get a case big enough for it. If you have done a back drop for it would you be interested in doing another and selling it?

I´ve heard from someone that somewhere on the internet on it´s many JB forum´s it say´s that there was a mix-up of diorama bottoms. And that this is the reason why it say´s FRWL instead of DR.NO. That´s what i heard but i have not read it my self can´t find it. Personally i think he was joking. But maybe somebody else has read it to.

Very possible ,but it say "Ford Anglia. From Russia With Love"..so someone has made a major Boob in the factory.because if they were to send them out as is,they would probably either have to recall the lot or refund disappointed customers, but they will surely get it right before production & distributiion...another wee "Can't Wait " moment..LOL -{ :007)

Does anyone have the Q boat model? I had been wanting Corgi to make a Q boat for several years yet, all they seem to do is repackage the same cars over and over. If so how does it look, and can recommend a good source for me purchase one as I live in the United States.

Brilliant news at least another 25 to look forward to, although hope they are new vehicles not repeated examples with a different diorama. A couple of specials would be good also. Well done GE FAbbri it's a great collection keep it up! Anything we have not had yet on anybodies wish list? Personally i would quite like to see Ford Mondeo from Casino Royale. Infact most of the Ford range has featured in most of the films from Die another day with the special tie up deal they had . Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Landrover and indeed Aston Martin all at one time under the mighty Ford umbrella.

I'm STILL hoping for the Mercedes chase car from Goldfinger complete with bad guys. It's such a glaringly obvious model missing from the collection!! Also another vehicle from Licence to Kill would be welcome - maybe the Dodge pick-up with its wheels on fire??

I did say once upon a time that I wouldn’t continue with this collection if it were to go past the 100 mark. I hate to say it in terms of money and space, but I am sticking with the collection. But seriously, how many more could they do after that? Unless they just to a model of anything that has had an engine in it? More worryingly, would I be able to stop myself even if they did? As far as I am concerned, as long as they stick to 1:43 and don’t go smaller just do fit a model of Stromberg's Atlantis or Moonraker in one of the boxes then, god forbid, I’m in!

If this collection does run to 110 issues then it will run until around the end of March 2011 in the UK ... that's over four years of bi-weekly issues! Surely that's going to be a partwork record?? :o
