With the Bond vehicle collection I await number 91.
At a Toy Car swapmeet on the weekend chatted with a dealer who reckons (may be a wrong rumour) that the French Bond car collection is going up to 130-no confirmation.
Anyway I bought a French car with Diorama of a Simca Aronde which was 1950s French cars at various points along the French route RN7. The collection is on the net and it's called-La Route Bleue-Les Plus Belles Etapes de la RN7.
There are/were 52 models in different situations, like camping, fishing, at a cafe , at Customs etc.
It apparently had accompanying magazines, but don't know if it's current or historic?
The French road is a scenic holiday route I think, like a trip down the A38 !
Bleuville. "I may yet surprise you-but I'm afraid you have no surprises left for me!"

That sounds like just a rumour seeing as the French stopped distributing the collection at N°84 (the Dragon Tank) back in April.
Hi everyone. I've been following the discussion here with great interest for some time, but have only just got around to registering. Thanks for all the great contributions, particularly the background display artwork for the T55 and Little Nellie etc. (I'm surprised that GE Fabbri haven't offered to sell empty display boxes for these.)
Has anyone received the corrected Ford Anglia display yet? I haven't. I wonder whether we will get just a replacement base or the whole model?
Have you noticed that on the Fabbri web site, access to "Back Issues" is now password protected! What's that for? One can still order by telephone though.

I think, if memory serves, the Fabbri web site has done that before, in which case it's probably a glitch and the back issues page will hopefully be available again at some point.
Unfortunately the site isn't 100% reliable, it's crashed on me twice during ordering and I've ended up with multiple orders which, although sorted out over the phone, was annoying.
I only order back issues by phone now, especially when you can request much more recent issues than those available on the web site. They're a pretty friendly bunch to talk to as well!
I watched "The Spy who love me"aired last night on channel 7 here in Australia and afterwrds took a look at the cars.Is the red lens on the back left winker of the 2cv missing.,mine is .I havent got a pic handy to check. love the soundtrack in that one by the way.perfect saturday night viewing if youre not out on the town.
No new car designs then...whats going on?
theyre running all the bonds on TV at the moment here .I know yes we all have them already, but its nice to see.....
Has anybody heard anything about the Ford Anglia yet!??I spoke to a girl a couple of weeks ago & she said they were looking into maybe sending out proper replacements!!!!..also has anybody recieived the Acrostar & the Edge yet???...it's been deathly quiet lately!!! -{ :007)
I got the Acrostar & the Edge about 2 weeks ago! sound like you need to get on the blower to them! As for the anglia replacement, well if i don't hear anything from them in a month than i will contact them for answers. I am really surprised that we haven't seen any new models on ebay yet, it has to be a record amount of time. however i am more surprised that we haven't seen the LaSalle Hearse on ebay form UK sellers yet! its almost worrying.

Hi! Thanx for the info!,,Foned them, they said it will be sent a.s.a....also mentioned to them about the Anglia, they said they are waiting for them to come from another country...then it will be sent...-{ :007)
Have just picked up the latest addition to the JBCC, namely the La Salle Hearse. Hope you like the above photos. As always, detail is great and can't wait for the next model.

Looks a bit of a beast like the Diamonds version, is it a non-UH model again?
I was wondering if Fabbri might issue a model of the hearse that actually went down the cliff after the chase in Dr No, it certainly wasn't the La Salle.......!! )
MovieCar Fan: - The model of the "La Salle Hearse" is in a far bigger display box that normal. It is the same size box as used for the model of the "Cadillac Hearse" (Issue No. 88), from 'Diamonds Are Forever'. ak007: - The next model in the series (Issue No. 93) will be the "Hovercraft from 'Die Another Day'
Thanks for the info, MiG 29 Fulcrum - the La Salle has been added to my 'wanted' list
For those concerned about the apparent loss of Fabbri's back issue page on their website, it's up and running again in a brand new improved format (including a new oddly small charge for postage):
The checkbox numbers don't all tie in with the magazine numbers so I assume they're still in the process of building the page and still have gremlins to fix.

Yes, the Acrostar was issue 90 and arrived some while ago, along with the Ford Edge (no. 91) . I just received the La Salle Hearse from Dr No (no. 92) and the Hovercraft from DAD (no. 93), delivered this lunchtime (Sat 24 Jul).
I do think the hovercraft is a bit 'plasticcy' looking & off colour in places and it really needs some weathering to look the part, but I'm really looking forward to receiving the Binz Ambulance (no. 94) from Thunderball - which I think is only briefly visible in the middle distance in the film scene.
I had placed the Ford Edge by coincidence next to the Ford Anglia and it looks huge in comparison (the Edge, not the Anglia!) but the Edge model is still dwarfed by the LaSalle Hearse.
While I was on holiday in Cornwall recently I picked up a model car from a charity shop, in a plastic case, a 1/43 scale Citroen DS21 - a beautiful looking car in its day and if ever there was a classic car missing from the Bond film series, that is it. [BTW, I understand Citroen are relaunching a DS-badged range of cars in a semi-retro styling.] ... Any views?
(I am sure someone on this forum is bound to know of an 007 film where there is a Citroen DS!!)
Well I believe in FRWL it was a Citroen Traction Avant driven by the Bulgarian Agents, It's successor is the DS. Also don't believe it featured in a Bond film. The only other is the 2CV in FYEO. May be a DS in the background of TB when Largo arrives at SPECTRE HQ at the start, I'll have to have a look.
Zut, alors!
Well done GadgetMeister, you are totally correct, there are in fact three Citroen DS in that one opening scene right after the titles sequence in Thunderball ... one drives past and a further two are parked just across the street!
The only other instance is in Casino Royale 1967 (which I don't think counts) ... thanks MovieCarFan for the link to the Internet Movie Cars Database, which I never knew about, amazing source of info!
Cheers,

I'm afraid not, but I like it in a weird way: at least it's a suprise now...

Just like "Gadget Meister", I received the Hovercraft this morning. Here are a couple of shots of it...
By the way, the next edition is the 'Binz Ambulance' from Thunderball.
