Corgi Mirror Car Aston Martin DB5

Has anyone news about the Corgi mirror car. My last info has been, that it will come Nov 2006 for a retail price of around US$ 800,--(which would be ridiculous).
I have never seen one, has anyone more infos regarding this?

Do you mean this one? If so, it was due out in 2005 and was estimated to cost approx $60!

Update - it's due out this month according to 007 Magazine.

Looking on corgi's website, it's gonna be £499.99!!!!

yes, that's the one, I have been talking about. I am really shocked about the price jump.
This means from US$ 60,-- to 1.000,-- and I really wonder, who did the calculation for the first one.

Don't think I'll be getting one of them then. Stick with my £2.99 version from the James Bond Car Collection.

The price is ridiculous! A thousand bucks for a Corgi car....yeah, right!
    Never fear the event

You surprise me Markus - I thought I saw at one time you have this exact same car for sale in your website. Was I seeing things?

The production version of this model has been put back again and again due to lack of interest from the trade. I believe that the tooling up costs will mean that if they sold 500 of them they would have to be £1000 each!!
I have one of the two prototypes of this model made by ACS for Corgi, the good news is that you could actually make one for yourself as the prototypes are simply a Danbury Mint car cut in half!! I was also given one of the Corgi real sounds cars and that is based on a Gold Plated Danbury Aston....

In the meantime Corgi is following the DVD route to marketing and repacking its 007 vehicles into film double packs - Goldfinger gets an Aston and Rolls etc.

    You are right Texas007.
I have announced, that the model will be out fall 2005, but never got the items, even, I had a couple of orders.

Corgi really likes to milk 007 to the hilt, its starting to get annoying with the 100-and-one-different-variations story.

i was especially annoyed with the directors cut series, as i had already bought the definitive series, and would have preferred the directors cut

I agree with you on the many different lines, but the director's cut is the best line, Corgi has done for years, if not ever.

It would have been a shame, if they'd never came up.
