When Bond is at the desk of the hotel Octopussy, there is a woman wearing a white bikini that stands next to him briefly.

Does anyone know who she was, what was the actress' name?

It looks rather like Mary Stavin.

It's Mary Stavin one of the Octopussy Girls.

Quite a few of the Octopussy girls are featured in that scene by the pool - Including Alison Worth, Camella Thomas, Jannine Andrews and Lynda Knight

Yer most of the Octopussy Girls are in that scene - Also some local Indain Girls/Models who also played Octopussy Girls but werent credited

Marta Gillot I seem to recall was the woman who showed Bond his hotel room.

Yer but i belive that scene was filmed in the UK and she was living in the UK and not India

I have now found out who actually played the Octopussy's Hotel Maid who shows Bond to his hotel room when he arrives at Octopussy's palace.

It's Sneh Gupta. She appeared in the film as a favour for Barbara Broccoli and was uncredited.
