Referencing CR 67?

I don't know if this has been discussed before but when my family wanted to see the tripe from Netflix, they popped it in and my dad commented on the line Mathis said: "Don't expect the cavalry to ride in and save you." (Or something to that effect)
It's funny that they obviously haven't forgotten that movie and decided to reference it in the movie of the same name. Coincidentally, to make the movie better, I'd play the CR soundtrack during bits of the movie.
Did anyone else spot any CR 67 references?

JFF, what were you doing watching this again? Were your folks punishing you or something?
Anyway, they wanted to see it, so I provided sarcastic commentary and when it was playing, I played 'The Look of Love' during the overly-long Bond-Vesper relationship clip show, among other things.
Anyway, I think your idea about the cavalry line being a reference to the '67 film is a bit of a stretch. "Cavalry to the rescue" is a well-worn cliche, heard many a time in movies, in real life, etc. Now, if there were things in the '06 CR like shots of Nelson's Column (especially in Vesper's back yard), X-ray glasses, Le Chiffre doing magic tricks at the table, and Frankenstein's monster, you might be on to something.
My family says this, my dad, a seasoned Bond fan thought the movie was okay, but would not call it a Bond film, as it would be a better generic spy movie. My mom thought it was good but she hasn't the experience of the films that my dad and I have.
I still hate it though, on a positive note.
