Including the recent Casino Royale film (which only had 1 gadget, the cool Vital-Sign-Reading
cell phone / mobile phone, that acted as a personal media hub, on-call emergency diagnostic M.D., MP3 player, Bluetooth, RSS newsreader, camera), what are your 2 (or even 3) personal favorite Bond gadgets featured throughout the 21 Bond films made so far and please say why you admire each one (compared to other ones) ?

Although it's a car (but it still does sort of qualify as a 'gadget'), my favorite is Mr. Bond's
Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger, tricked out in Goldfinger with bulletproof glass, bullet shield, revolving license plates, smoke-screen, oil slick generators, machine guns, tire shredders front and rear ejector seats.

The re-breather from TB. Very usefull, compact, easy to conceal.
Attache case from FRWL. No well dressed man should be without one.
    Safe cracker from YOLT. Highly useful, & very compact.-{

Similar threads have been done before, but I still like the ejector seat in GF and attache case in FRWL. The car gadget in CR ranks near the bottom of Bond gadgets.

I don't have three favourites but here are among my favourites:

*The attache case in FRWL; realistic and practical, yet extremely cool even after 40 years.

*The ejector seat in GF; IMO the single greatest gadget of all time. A gadget that symbolizes why James Bond is the ultimate representation of coolness. :D

*The X-ray glasses from TWINE; not necessarily the most original of gadgets, it's nonetheless a classic which, if I was James Bond, I would love to use.

BTW, I agree with Barry that the defilibrator in CR is among the worst of all Bond gadgets.

And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

I have never been a fan of Bond's toys. As far
as I am concerened they tend to distract from the story.Bond relies less on his brains and more on some improbable piece of equipment to do his job for him. That said, if there were one piece of equipment that I can say I admire it would have to be the rappel gun from Diamonds Are Forever. Not my favorite film by a long shot but the scene in which it is used outside
the Whyte House is breathtaking and when Bond uses it to kill the fake Blofeld I have to cheer.:007)

if i could have some gadgets, (well, besides the PPK, a good watch and the Aston Martin V8 Volante - don't ask don't tell-) here are my three:

The Tuxedo from Licence To Kill: Besides the necks flaps to conceal the white shirt, making it a "stealth" suit" it has the rappel device in the belt. very useful, very clever.

The Ultra Single Digit Sonic Agitator unit from Die Another Day: i know, i think that movie wasn't good, and this gadget is incredibly impossible, but i would like to have it... no crystal door would prevent me to get to my objective.

The Key Chain from The Living Daylights: i just love it... it just not only can help you to open the 90% of the world's locks, and can be used as a stunt or deadly weapon... it can be extremely handful when you drop your keys.

I have to say, just as pretty much every one on top, that the briefcase from FRWL has to be in a special place....
