Loeffs, see if you have better luck with this link to AICN; you should see the clickable youtube movie in the middle of the screen:

Like I've said, TDK OWNS the summer of '08!

My luck with YouTube is very spotty; your link just takes me to the home page, with no sign of a Batman trailer anywhere. Do you know what it's called, so I can do a search?

Sorry, Loeff. Warner Bros. had it taken down. I say to the WB...

    "Why So Serious?" :D

You may like these though, apparently there have been leaked photos of Harvey "Two-Face" Dent circulating around. From the source I've read that these are not doctored...

    I don't know...What do you think?

    Oh, well. Thanks anyway, Tony!

EDIT FOR ROGUE: I think I like the take on Two-Face; it's cool that the disfiguration doesn't appear to be exactly fifty-fifty...

More of Nolan's Underplayed StylismTM at work B-)

Sorry man; when I went to the page, I still saw the first frame so I posted up the link.

I'm sure it'll be released thru more legal channels before too long.

As to the Two-Face pics, they may not be fakes but they don't look finished to me; more like test photos to see what works and what doesn't.

If earlier reports are true; then the disfigured side of Harvey's face is being largely computer generated and will probably go thru many iterations before they hit on the final approved look.

Yeah, it's sort of in the neighborhood of what I projected.

Of course anything Nolan comes up with pertaining to Two-Face is an improvement over Tommy Lee Jones... :s

BTW, Loeff, here's another working link to the trailer...

I gotta say, that trailer looks great! Ledger looks a bit better in action than he does in the stills, and his voice is perfect--exactly what I imagined the J-man sounding like. I'm stoked.

As for Two-Face, I think the look is fantastic. Yes, it's more "realistic" than we've come to expect, but it's horrifying and not OTT, like Tommy Lee Jones's "Nightmare in Fuscia" look. Call me a happy camper right now!

I like the look of Two-Face, but agree with Tony that it seems unfinished, more like a painting than a real-life person.

Just saw the new trailer at I Am Legend today. I think Heath Ledger as The Joker will prove to be a genius bit of casting! From the looks of the Trailer I'd make a safe bet he'll be outa control awesome as my favorite comic book villain!

I clicked the link at the bottom of the page. The people on that board swear that both images are fake. The first image is doctored and from Suspect Zero and the second image is from The Black Dhalia .

Good call. The second one is indeed Eckhart's final scene in The Black Dahlia. Didn't notice it the first time.

AICN is reporting that the trailer will probably be officially unveiled at this site, possibly as early as Sunday.

Color me embarrassed. ;% I really thought the pics were legit, and I was impressed. I just hope Eckhart's Two-Face isn't Tommy Lee Jones revisited. . .

Yeah, someone had told me ,shortly after seeing those Two-Face pics late last night, that they were more than likely doctored but he couldn't remember the film he had seen the first picture in.

I was never completely sure (though I wanted to believe) these were legit but it was nice for awhile to see something Two-Face related after viewing that very awesome trailer.

Hopefully, Nolan's won't be too far off the mark from these...Fake they may be but I still like them. B-)

I'm on the fence on the second pic. It reminds me to much of Freddy Kruger (sp?). I do hope when Two-Face is revealed, the deformed half of Harveys face is grossly hideous, but not like the Tommy Lee Jones one.

Cool sequence, destined to be taken down soon. Also looks like William Fichtner landed a huge role (not).

It is cool. I wonder if this is a scene from the movie, or just a prequel to the movie. I guess we'll have to wait until 2008 to find out.

    Actually, it is...
the opening 6 minutes of the movie and serves to introduce the audience to Nolan's version of the Joker.

Near as I can tell, that's actually pretty close to the costume he wears in the movie...except for the "shoulder pads". With those things, he looks more like he's ready to join the NFL.

BTW, thanks for posting the link, Agent_M.

Well the toy design that Agent M has posted looks alot better than the toy model I shared on this site earlier...

Thanks for the link, Tony. But I have to say Heath Ledger's Joker ain't doing anything for me. Does he just stand around in the movie and look like some sad clown? Where's the mischief? The maniacal banter?

Hmm...There's probably a good reason for this unfortunate design.Gotta have toys for the kids, after all. However,I think this outfit makes the generally derided costume Val Kilmer wore in most of Batman Forever look absolutely faithful to the one Batman wears in the comics.

I hear ya. He looks better on film than in the pics, but based on the clips he's more of an anarchist than a demented clown.

I also still haven't gotten over his using makeup instead of his skin actually being bleached white. In the comics, his disfigurement was the reason he became the Joker; take that away and it fundamentally changes the reason for the character's existence - it's like having Bruce Wayne become Batman without ever losing his parents as a child in that dark alley; it just isn't the same anymore.

Still, for better or worse, this is what Nolan is going to feed us, and we have yet to see Two Face, who Nolan now says factors heavily into the film. As with Batman Begins, I'm hoping that the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts.

Yeah I suppose so, W.G. I already hate the new getup but this miniature model sort of adds insult to injury.

I'm wondering what kid would find this attractive enough to ask mom & dad to buy it for them? I'll take the Kilmer look, sans nips and be very content. :D

Does anyone know whether or not they'll be making any post-apocolyptic Joker figures? That can't be far behind...

My proposal still stands with you, Tony. Ledger's Joker will be the best adaptation to date despite him not being very cheery...or classic-looking. :D

Not that it's a defense but there are other Batman stories in the comics that downplayed The Joker's overtly jovial demeanor and just focused on Joker the sociopath.
Not the classic formula I'd like to see in my favorite villian but it has happened and it didn't kill the story either...
