Sort of makes ammends for having the suspect Anime style. If you haven't seen it yet, here it is:

I checked out the trailer and it looks like some of the segments have a more traditional look to them. I'm curious and I'll probably pick this up as well.

As an aside, I like Gotham Knight's approach of an anthology made up of several short adventures; I've always that that approach would work for a live action Batfilm as well - no need to dwell on unlikely relationships and forced "character" moments; just three or four tight 30 minute adventures.

According to SHH, Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the new trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight at the New York Comic-Con on Saturday. The trailer is expected to hit theaters in a couple of weeks, presumably with Iron Man, but the viral campaign might allows fans to see it earlier than that online.

And here's a description of it. Mild spoilers.

Thanks for posting that. Can't wait for the new trailer.

You know, I always loved that part RA, but now after watching it, it makes no sense - we don't hear him dropping (what was the guy's name? Carl?), yet he somehow uses both hands to throw Supes?

Of course, he conveniently leaves out the very next scene, where Supes throws Batman against a wall with one finger. :))

I don't have any FLV to GIF conversion tools but I'll surf around and see what I can do for you. No promises though.

New poster and a sign that says 'Four Days', that must be referring to a new trailer being released. Awesome.

Here's a pic of that new poster. Not sure how I feel about it. While it's an evocative image and very well done, it also strikes me as a little nihilistic. I'm sure it's all part of Nolan's desire to distance himself from previous movies in general and Jack Nicholson's Joker in particular as much as possible, but as I've said before, I hope this movie doesn't go too dark and serious.

It's a pretty cool looking poster, but if you think too hard about it, it gives the appearance that Batman did the damage to the building...neat imagery, but it paints Batman as a bad guy!

    BTW...nice sig, Tony. :p

Part of a deal I have with RogueAgent. I have to keep this up there for 7 days and I'm already starting to feel impotent. But don't worry, I'm working on something to make up for it once the 7 days are up...

I agree. It's a good poster (love the cast :D) but it doesn't leave much hope that the film will have a sense of humour. (Which is not such a bad thing as long as DK is more like Batman Begins and less like Batman Returns.)

Some might already know this but I read somewhere that
a scene in the movie has a fake batman thrown out of a window with a knife through his chest and noose around his neck
    maybe the poster
    represents the evil fake batman

My brother spotted another new TDK poster over at IGN. A little more action-oriented than the last one.

I like the first one a lot more than the Bat-Pod one. Is he really half the size of the Bat-pod?

A great poster. :D A little bizarre (in terms of the size of the motorcycle) but still very good. ;)

:# I don't know if I like these. The first poster takes off the focus from Batman and is IMO far too creepy. The second poster is good, however the third and fourth posters have the same problem; Aaron Eckhart. They each show him holding up the badge, except it looks really fake, kind of like the poster designers said; 'Bats and Joker are holding up things, so lets have Two-Face hold something up.'

Nice finds, thanks for sharing. I like these; the Joker looks more like the Joker (by softening the image the white skin is more reminiscent of the comics version. And the Harvey Dent one, with half his face obscured, gives us a nice, subtle little bit of foreshadowing (Eckhart looks a little like Val Kilmer in that shot). As for Batman, he needs to get ride of those wimpy little batarangs and get himself some serious hardware to throw around.

A cellphone capture of the new trailer is here; it will be officially released this Sunday.

As for the new posters, I really like them. I find it interesting how Dent's is the only one where the focus is on his face, while on the other two the focus is on the items they are holding.

Really? I actually don't get that at all. The way I see it, the focus is as much on Dent's badge as it is on the other two character's items, which is why I don't love the way Dent comes across, as IMO it come across as really artificial.

Actually Dan, Rogue AI is right. Look at the side by side poster and you'll see that Joker and Batman's face are slightly out of focus while Dent's is much sharper. Conversely, the playing card and batarang (and the hands holding them) are sharp while Dent's hand and pin are a little soft. It's subtle, but once you spot it, it becomes very obvious.

Shouldn't the left part of his face be obscured and have him hold his campaign button over it instead of the right or am I mistaken? Wasn't he scarred on the left side?

You're correct, it is his left side that's usually scarred. I think they hid the right side to keep it symmetrical with the other two posters.

Someone on another message board found the below video on youtube. Looks like someone had fun with the soundbites of The Dark Knight and dubbed them over clips from the 1989 Batman. (S)he did a split screen with the current trailer. Kind of cool:
