well, then the entire movie has a lot of plotholes:
    The cellphones
    The DBS
    The Mondeo
all the other cars except the DB5
    BluRay in general
    surveillance systems
    Omega PO and SMP
    Persol
    The planes
    The airport
Body World (which is terrible imho)

    etc.

I think, that Babs once said it: The story is about how 007 got his license, but the time is now.
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

my opinion is the two daniel craig films they are the worst ever bond films :s because theirs simply nothing 007 about them no Q monypenny gadgets that made the 007 films famous CR & QOS wher over promotionalised whith all the watches, sunglasses, phones and so on i understand that a percentage of the money they get for feuetering them in the movie is their budget but still make use of them not just accept calls and rent car etc.the other point about them is its just simply plain action films no different to watching any other spy movies nothing different even M as changed to be the plain old office worker by the looks of her charicter.it misses the uniqnesss that made 007 films so famous i'm not mocking daniel craig i think he's a good bond i just think the film makers are waiting him and not using a good lucking bond to their advantage e.g. gadgets, cars etc.QOS was the first 007 movie i seen at the cinema and i was very board of it the villain looked liked a alcoholic tramp and the story was pitiful that's coming from a huge 007 fan i still crazy about bond its just i hope they bring back the bond that is bond if you understand and not some action man who chases people on cranes and roofs use gadgets to help him i'm sorry for waffling on its just i thought i could let me view on the forum since every one els as hope some people agree

007_fanatic, I agree with you on some points although I enjoyed CR. I REALLY HATED QOS the sooner they get back to making a traditional Bond Film the better. and my spelling and punctuation is crap too. :))

Don't worry, 007 fanatica. You're in good company. I personally have a 007 femme fatale disorder. Whenever Fiona Volpe shows up looking all sexy and shooting rifles I start having breathing problems. ;) :D :007)

Actually it's breathe, not breath - it's so annoying when people pick up on grammar all the time, isn't it? If only it were just about Bond... :))

So what do you think about QOS? :v :)) Seriously, I completely agree with you. I hated it so much that I couldn't bring myself to see it for a second time. :#

Worst for me would be Die Another Day. I think View to a Kill wasn't as bad as most remember, besides the soundtrack is definitely a saving grace, the main theme really lends itself well to the instrumental cues in the rest of the movie.

i just hope that thay make the next film how james bond should be and not some running shooting action film as if i wanted to see a film like that i would just go see normal spy movie. qos was my first bond film i saw at the cinima and was really disapointed lol just hope i wont be next year when i see the new one :#

DAD is the worst of the Brosnan films but still much better than QoS.

I don't know why I don't hate QoS as much, maybe it's just because It's got Craig and it's new. I don't own Die another Day and saw it too many times in theaters to watch for another decade. I think in the future with more Craig films released we might forgive Quantum's short commngs.

I agree. Craig is a fine actor but he had a crap script to work with in QoS. CR is slightly a better film for him as its better written.

23 films, 6 Bonds, 45 years... We'll all have one or two we don't like, but as fans of the genre, how about more positive threads? This is all merely subjective, and dare I say, predictable...

There is no Bond film I truly don't like as, in my opinion, all Bond films have there merits. The one film I find hardest to watch however would be Die Another Day.

It's certainly been a while since I've seen them, and mind you I've only watched them once, but for me the worst Bond movie is a tie between DAF and AVTAK, with honourable mentions to OP and DAD.* DAF looked like a cheap and lazy production unbecoming of a Bond movie while by the time AVTAK rolled around it was Bond himself who was unbecoming. Although the films look dated (sadly true of most Bond movies made before the 90's) IMO good scripts and casting may have made up for the staleness in production and even served to elevate the films. Instead horrible meandering scripts and poor casting helped sink DAF and AVTAK --and OP and DAD, depending on the time of day ;)-- in my view.

Aw come on! Maud Adams is prime!

But yes, Diamonds Are Forever, A View To A Kill, and Die Another Day are definite contenders for the worst of the franchise. Personally I find Diamonds to be the most dull and foolish of the three (unlike Moonraker, which was foolish but never dull). Die Another Day is like a really bad caffiene rush. I'm mixed towards A View To A Kill, but I simply can't support it. At least it has a good theme song and a great bad guy.

But, but James Bond in a clown suit!!! :o That was quite possibly the nadir of the franchise 8-)

It was a stupid idea (and not too terribly practical on Bond's behalf) but it wasn't nearly enough to ruin the entire movie for me. I find that a lot of people dislike Octopussy entirely because of that one scene, but they often forget about the great stunts (like the train pursuit and the airplane climax) and performances (Maud Adams and Roger Moore, who comes across as very comfortable in the role).
