Bond's Money Clip

I need help from some UK members on sourcing this nice prop, although it was not seen in the movie for more than a nanosecond this photo is from the Omega James bond exhibition:

I already painstakingly identified it as being from an English silversmith by the name of Douglas Pell, they sell them directly as well as distribute them through a jewelers throughout the UK.

The letter "f" on the bottom is a date mark from 2005, I can easily get one with a new date mark "h" but I wanted to see if any of you could track down any with "f" date marks, who's up for the challenge?

Sorry I can't help with the search for one with the f marking, but are there any places online where you can order the current one with this years mark? (or any place to order it really)

Wow, cool. Since I carry a money clip, a brown leather Coach version with sewn in magnets, It would be an easy switch. Not all that concerned with the year hallmark.

They are in the process of updating the website at the moment.

I spoke to someone at Douglas Pell and they said they dont have any with "f" date marks however if you contact them in sure they will happily sell you one with this years date mark for under $100

Sounds good to me. I'll contact them directly. As for the "f" hallmark, If I just had to have it and could not find it any other way, I'd take it to a jeweller and have them replace the hallmark. But that's just me. However, I fully understand the fun of hunting the exact items down. It's what makes collecting fun. Knowing what to look for and finding is so much better than just being handed stuff. You found this item for us, but you had more fun because you did the research.

Thanks Doanld, it took ages to find out the manufacturer, at first I had no idea it was a hallmark which made it more difficult. Ask to speak to Jo and tell then you heard about it from me.

BTW the banknotes in the pictures you posted are Euronotes in denominations of 50 and 100. For anyone who wants to recreate the Omega display. Thanks S for setting us all off on the hunts. Regards

Well, I spoke to Jo yesterday and she said Douglas Pell would have a new website called silvershopgifts.com up and running by today. Apparently they have many different money clips so I sent her a picture. Well, the website is up and the correct one is tagged as being in CR. Here is the direct link to the order page:

I think I'm going to get one of these for everyday use but still would like to get a hold of one with an "f"!

I wish Jo could have the London Assay office hallmark some with the 2005 hallmark for us. then again being that this was only seen for a nano second in the film (when bond tips the guy that hands him the envelope with the fake passports) maybe it doesn't matter?

I just spoke to Douglas Pell himself just now...he has been pleasantly surprised with the sales around this piece...so much in fact that he is setting up a CODE just for us Bond fans where we can order anything on their site 1/2 price....YES, including this money clip! I will have the code to post here by Tuesday and their NEW web site will be up by Monday AM....so the clip will be 36.49 pounds which will include shipping to the states.

Hi, first time poster, been entertained, instructed and informed by the site for some time though! Don't recognise the credit card on top of the money clip, looks like a "Visa Signature"? Is it a USA only card? Not sure that we, in the UK, have these! Any info would be appreciated. Also, when Bond hands over his card in CR in the Bahamas isn't it black in colour? Any ideas on what type of card that may be?
