The Rip Off

Well I wanted to post about ASP 9mm grips that I should have had long ago. I purchased my ASP 9mm form Lawrence Keller. His article on the ASP appears on another website here:
http://commanderbond.net/article/4061
Although there were some initial problems with that purchase, I finally got the gun and was very happy with my ASP. It turns out Mr. Keller had one of my holsters, the Dr. No version of the Connery holster. I don't recall selling him one, but some how he aquired it. He decided that he also wanted the Goldfinger version. Instead of buying it out right he asked if he could trade one of his ASP magazine holders for the holster. Since I did not want the magazine holder, I said no. Several months later he contacted me with the same deal to which I again said no. However I told him that I would trade the holster for a set of new lexan grips for my ASP. Mr. Keller countered and said that the grips cost more than my holster so I told him if he could get the grips I'd send him a holster plus the difference in cash for the grips. A few months later Mr. Keller said that the grips were ready and that I should send him the holster plus a check.
After Mr. Keller received the holster and the money, he said there was a problem with the grips and they had to go back. To make a long story short, I have not as yet received the grips and it's been well over a year. I've emailed him countless times and there is always some excuse or another. Finally I asked for my money back and he had the audacity to claim that he was doing me a favor by trying to get the grips and that he would never help anyone out again. Ultimately, he said he would send my money back which I have yet to see.
Of late Mr. Keller has not returned my emails even though I promissed him I would post about this on as many Bond and prop forums that I could. I hope he will respond and I'll make a point of emailing this outing of him even though I know he lurks here from time to time.
To me it's not so much about the money but about the fact that he thinks he can get away with it. The funny thing is he even made a point in sending me the link to his article after all the excuses and not responding.

BTW did you actually read the rambling, illiterate article?...
I thought this paragraph illuminating;
"I wore this rig to a special event in Washington D.C. Yes I know, my permit is not valid in DC. But, it being the high crime area it is, I felt that protecting my wife and me out weighed the short comings, but that is me. This took place in 1997 at an inaugural party. I was within a hug distance to the VP Gore at the time and the secret service never spotted or felt the holster or pistol. I was a person away from the First lady and they still did not spot or as they brushed up against me could tell or feel the holster. With security today I wouldn’t try this stunt now"
When you tried contacting the chap, did u try Sing-sing or San Quentin?...
Hope you get your grips DG, I have a few contacts and will see if I can source you a pair.
Yep, I agree. As for the the grips, I tried with Show Guns in Florida, but they don't have any at the moment. So if you can source a pair, that would be great.

this guys a coachroach that needs to get stomped
People like this are all over the place - like my next door neighbor, a Doctor who stiffed me out of $1,000 for his half of a fence to replace one that broke down after 50 years ...
This kind of behavior can be tough to take, and is often hard on the pocketbook!
A wise fellow once told me "What comes around goes around." Lets hope thats true!!!!!

The Handguns of Ian Fleming's James Bond
That article is pretty lame, as I said in a post on CBN in that thread. He just rehashes a lot of stuff that has been published before.

Josh,
Thanks, I do intend to use your services for the grips and removing the guttersnipe sight before I send it for the Teflon S coating. Also, thanks for the link for the alternate ASP grips. You can't beat the price.

Well what Mr. Keller stole from me is relatively small compaired to what he took from you and others, but I'd like to help out in any way I can.
