A BRITISH actress who took her battle against her wealthy husband to the internet, posting videos on YouTube that lambasted him and which gained an audience of millions, has been ordered to leave her New York home by a judge who ruled her behaviour was "spousal abuse".
Tricia Walsh Smith, 52, whose previous claim to fame had been bit parts in The Benny Hill Show and a play she wrote called Bonkers, had the YouTube videos professionally filmed in the Park Avenue apartment she has shared for 13 years with her husband. In them she claimed Philip Smith, 77, a Broadway producer, was trying to evict her and leave her penniless.
In a six-minute rant, she railed against "male chauvinist pigs" and exhorted "woman warriors" to flock to her cause. She also revealed embarrassing details, notably that he had a stash of the impotence drug Viagra despite the fact they never had sex.
Mr Smith sued for divorce on the grounds that the videos were a form of spousal abuse, and this week Judge Harold Beeler of New York State Supreme Court agreed.
The judge said Ms Walsh Smith had embarked on a "callous campaign to embarrass and humiliate her husband and his daughters. Smith has been publicly humiliated to an unprecedented extent."
Ms Walsh Smith must quit the apartment within a month. Mr Smith must pay her $US750,000 ($A770,000), according to a prenuptial agreement.
"I'm terribly sorry that it came to this, but I'm obviously happy with the result," Mr Smith said.
Ms Walsh Smith insists she has no regrets about documenting her marital meltdown on the web. "It brought attention to my plight and the plight of a lot of other women."
I want this guy to have his own TV show. Actually, William Peterson is rumoured to be leaving CSI: Crime Investigation. This kid has star quality written all over him.

I found this Pathe news interview with the 1930's horror star Tod Slaughter. Slaughter remains in character throughout (as Sweeney Todd). Anyways, the very first time I stepped onto an aeroplane it had a big gold lion rampant emblazened on the tail. If you're Scottish and over 20 you'll remember them, before they "merged" with British Airways, who've all but abandoned Scotland now. That's right, it was our national airline, British Caledonian.
And who of a certain generation could forget their now very, very un-PC ads?

Seriously though, where is the Secret Service, asleep on the job I take it. Maybe they didn't feel this would be assassin had the 'sole' for killing W or maybe they knew he would miss him by a 'foot'...or possibly they got 'kicks' watching him dodge the shoes. I bet you some of the Secret Service team members will get the 'boot' after tripping over their own shoes to protect the president. Of course, I know they have someone waiting in line that's a 'shoe-in' for the job.
I couldn't resist. That video was hillarious. My wife did not think so, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching that a couple times over. Good moves on W's part. Notice how Maliki doesn't bat an eye. I bet you he hired that guy to throw the dang shoes.
I guess that is a huge insult there in Iraq. I guess Bush can't get much respect anywhere he goes eh?
