In the opinion of the reader, who is the most handsome of the James Bond actors?

~Roger Moore

Psychologically speaking, guys--if they pick from the list at all--are likely to pick the Bond they most closely resemble. Which should be interesting in itself (and I ask here that male participants specify whether they perceive the Bond they pick to resemble themselves to some degree). More interesting, though, will be the female response. So. . . who, in the end, will come out on top? -{

    Most handsome Bond:

    According to my future wife- Daniel Craig (but she can't remember what all of them look like, sounds like a Bond marathon coming up)...and unfortunately I don't look like him (I don't know what this means)!

    My list:

    ~Daniel Craig
    ~Roger Moore
    ~Timothy Dalton

    Of course, I was known to say, coming up to the release of CR, that Craig was the type of guy who you either wanted to punch you or kiss you on the mouth

    My mother has always said that she thinks Roger Moore was the most handsome of the Bonds---she said that Connery got better looking as he got older, but not so much during his Bond 'prime.'

    I'm quite sure that I resemble none of these fellows, :# but if pressed I'd probably have to say Connery, since I'm dark-haired (or was, before grey took over!), brown-eyed, and 6' 4"...

    BTW, I asked my GF, who after assuring me that I looked nothing like any of the Bonds :)) :#, nominated Connery as well.

    1) Timothy Dalton .... ( Really? I hear you cry :D)

    2) Daniel Craig ... not in the conventional sense but has a certain twinkle in his eye I like.

    3) Sean Connery ... What can I say prefer a rugged look

    Cant decide between these three. I know they are all handsome but none push any buttons for me.

    Handsome, or attractive? To me there's a difference, the former is about how they look in a photo, the latter how they look, move, talk, etc., the whole package as it were. Craig ain't all that handsome, but he ranks near the top for attractiveness IMO. So to break it up, how pretty versus whose bones would you want to jump (lol), here's two lists.

    Handsome:

    I'd rank Dalton higher in both if he'd been in the part as a younger man, say '81. And while Brosnan was more attractive in his first two films than Dalton was in his two IMO, Brosnan in his last two films gave me the creeps, so edge to Dalton. Interesting thread, and very to the point of, can't really qualify attraction, either somebody does it for ya or they don't.

    Well if it were up to my wife, she'd say without hesitation Pierce Brosnan was the most handsome of the lot.

    Although she did admit that Brozzy was looking abit "grainy" in some of those DAD close-ups. :))

    I have absolutely no idea, so can't list them.

    But I would imagine Connery, I picture him to be the most manly.

    As for which Bond I resemble, I would say none of them... damn, lol. But if any, it would probably be a young version of Roger Moore, as my hair is not dark enough to be like Connery, Dalton etc, but at the same time darker than Daniel Craig's hair.

    Coincidentally, Dalton and I have similar coloring and a similar jawline (minus the deep cleft) and bone structure.

    Firstly I asked my girlfriend to see who she thought, her answer was worryingly swift, Daniel Craig.
    Then in order:
    Pierce Brosnan
    Timothy Dalton
    Sean Connery
    Roger Moore
    George Lazenby.

    Personally i've always thought Sean Connery was the best looking, he has a raw sexuality that none of the others seem to posess.

    If we're talking "most handsome", I would have to go with Timothy Dalton. I think he has the most classically elegant looks of the lot.

    Connery has a sexuality, but it's not in his face, it's in his body. And Craig - pecs of steel and all that. The rest I think come under the category of "not bad".

    But having said all that, I think all the Bonds are over-rated, looks wise. I wouldn't touch any of them ;)

    I had this conversaiton with a few of my closest female friends. All of them said Daniel Craig hands down! Pierce Brosnan usually takes second though. They all agree that Sean Connery is "hot for an old guy." None of them had ever seen the likes of Dalton, Moore, or Lazenby though.

    I think a lot of younger women are more into craig or Brosnan, maybe because they are the here and now. Theres no doubt in my mind Connery is the sexiest bond and possibly the sexiest man ever. And I am heterosexual.

    But I have to say Daniel does have something about him.
    What counts is what the heroine provokes, or rather what she represents. She is the one, or rather the love or fear she inspires in the hero , or else the concern he feels for her, who makes him act the way he does.

    I don't know why, but as a straight male who everyone thought was a woman, I've never found Connery all that attractive. Chalk up another "JFF is Crazy" moment to that neverending board of moments. He's not the least attractive of all of them (that would be the two I'd consider completely unattractive) but I just don't see it.

    I'd just go for Pierce because when I think of James Bond, I think of him. This might be because I grew up with him but he just looks like that type of guy and Roger has this whole classic movie star thing going for him. And that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :D

    I agree with Jetset in saying that Dalton is the most handsome, but not the most sexual. Anyhow, he ends up at the top of my list.

    Connery has sort of animal magnetism to him that would make him the most physically attractive.

    Craig's got a fantastic body and piercing eyes that would put him next in line.

    Brosnan's got a pretty boy look about him, so I'll put him next.

    I don't find Sir Rog to be very attractive, but there are moments when he appears very suave and very handsome.

    Lazenby's just not attractive at all by my standards. I don't really know why.

    Sorry if I'm a bt late with this one but, in my opinion, Tim Dalton is the best looking Bond. Not sure if he's 100% the most attractive but there's something very reassuring about him. Second is Sean Connery because he just oozes sex appeal. Third is shared by Daniel Craig because of his body and physicality and Pierce Brosnan because he is unbelievably handsome. I don't really find Roger Moore or George Lazenby attractive. I may be five years late but that's my two cents worth :p

    Not sure if OP has a specific definition in mind for handsome vs. sexy vs. attractive vs. good-looking, etc.

    That said,

    After seeing all of the films on Blu-Ray, Connery is the best looking to me.

    Dalton, Craig, and Brosnan are very close in rank when it comes to appearances. All very good-looking. Moore is alright, but nothing draws the eye to him for long. Lazenby falls totally flat to my eyes. Nothing striking about him.

    Kind of hard to answer focusing solely on looks because, as mentioned by others, sex appeal, magnetism, confidence and other qualities come into play to create the overall impression each actor makes on the viewer. But I'll give it a shot:

    I find them all somewhat attractive, although I do see attractive as mainly manner and overall aappearancewhereas handsome is purely looks, attractive is easier to decide so:
    Most attractive
    Sean
    Pierce and Roger (except towards their last films)
    Daniel and Timothy
    George

    However, as I did say, they are all attractive, but maybe this is due to them playing an attractive sort of character? Either way, I love them all :D
