"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
What about Sydney harbour bridge (pre titles); London (briefing with M, flirt with Moneypenny for the first time, meet Q - take charge of a new Lotus with all the refinements - except its has a 1.1 litre engine to meet the latest CO2 emissions); meet with a contact in a karaoke bar in the east end of Glasgow (contact dies in a punch up before he can pass on the important information); back to London for a lessons learned meeting with M. Bond flies to Dusseldorf for his first meeting with the baddie. Bond beds the baddie's wife/daughter/housekeeper (possibly all). Bond is caught but manages to escape with the housekeeper over the Austrian border where he is chased by the baddie's goons. A compartment in the Lotus hides two set of skis. Bond and the housekeeper (who happens to be an expert skier AND a CIA agent) manage to ski to safety disposing of the goons along the way. Bond and the cleaning lady manage to reach the gates of the British embassy in Salzburg but the baddie is waiting for them disguised as a goat herd. He pulls a gun from his lederhosen. There is a struggle - Mrs Mopp takes a bullet to the chest. The baddie escapes. Bond is not happy. Bond 22 ends. Bond 23 starts where Bond 22 ended and the whole thing starts all over again.

A spot of news about a probable location in Italy---a villa on a lake, interestingly enough :v
Of course, it's apparently not the same villa---or the same lake---that we saw at the end of the last film...but that's show business!

The Svalbard/Spitzbergen islands would be interesting. It is an international area under norwegian supervision. In other words you can move there and no-one can stop you as long as you can support yourself financially and cause no problems. I know of an iraqi who is running a kebab-shop there!
There are two russu\ian settlements there. One of them("the Pyramid") was abondoned just as it stood after the fall of the soviet union. A Soviet town preserved in the cold!
Imagine Bond going there to find some stateless refugee on the islands. Or perhaps some McGuffin hidden in the abondoned mines around the soviet ghost town of The Pyramid. It could be bondian in a fresh way.
