AT THIS POINT THE SONGS BECOME GODAWFULLY BAD.
21 From Russia With Love (Could it get any sappier and loveyer? I mean, the first part of Sir James's Trip To Find Mata (Deborah Kerr's theme) is less overly-romanticized as this!
22 You Know My Name (Film Version), probably one of the most abhorrently mixed songs in the history of abhorrently mixed songs! The pop mix is pretty good, but the movie got off on a bad foot with me when I heard this song.
23 The Man With The Golden Gun, aka, fit as many double entendres in a song as you possibly can. Even John Barry and LuLu admit it was crap!
24 License To Kill, Huh? Wait? It's over? I fell asleep. Like Kamen's score, this is one of the most boring songs created for Bond and turns the Goldfinger beat into some sort of synthy lounge beat. Ugh! Not even the very talented Gladys Knight could save this one.
25 Thunderball, I'm just going to go out on a whim and say that the movies shouldn't rip off the Goldfinger song, because the end result is always bad. This song is very Goldfingeresque, but it's also overly-dramatic and too bombastic. A pain to listen to.
26 Tomorrow Never Dies, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Sheryl Crow's whiny voice, inspid lyrics, and that idiotic airplane noise it starts with make for one of the most unpleasant songs to listen to of ALL TIME! I can't contain my hatred for this song! IT'S SO TERRIBLE!!!!

The oo7 Theme by John Barry - Not a theme but it is perfection repeated!
Casino Royale '06 - Main Title some of the lyrics are pretty neat! Some of the incidental music is very John Barryish.

From Russia with Love - It's a real song! I can remember when it was played on the radio. This was back in the days when you could understand all the song lyrics! How can you not like the British Frank Sinatra?
From a View to a Kill - Great use of the movie Title.
The Songs by Madonna and "garbage" should be removed from all copies of their respective films. If they were replaced with static or electronic feedback, it would be an improvement.
Question? What kind of idiot hires a band called "garbage"? What kind of music would you expect from a group named "garbage" - talk about "daft"!

I agree with JFF about the TND song being awful, but I also agree with 7289 about TWINE and DAD songs being awful.
When I first heard the GE theme, I thought it was awful. Still do. But the other theme songs, from the next Brosnan films were even worse. And got worse with each film IMO. For me, the DAD theme song is the absolute rock-bottom point in Bond music.

6 - From Russia WIth Love - I prefer female vocalists for my Bond themes, but this was good.
7 - You Only Live Twice - Best song Nancy Sinatra ever did.
8 - A View to a Kill - Best thing about the film.
9 - Goldeneye - Tina Turner belts out a good one.
10 - Thunderball - Tom Jone's big voice for a big film
11 - For Your Eyes Only - Sheena Easton singing and in the title sequence
12 - Dr No - I place this here because I am not sure what song should be the title song
13 - License to Kill - Good song. although it sounds like she says kilt

15 - TWINE - Pacing is a little too slow.
16 -The Living Daylights - Just never cared for it.
17 - Moonraker - Melody OK, lyrics are odd.
18 - All Time High (OP) - Just never liked this song.
19 - Die Another Day - Thought it kind of work during titles, but as a song, didn't care for it.
20 - You Know My Name (CR) - Didn't like the changing tempo
21 - Man WIth the Golden Gun - The worst lyrics ever.
22 - Another Way to Die (QOS) - I wanted to die after hearing this.
I have listed only the main title songs, from the "official" Bond films. If I included closing thme songs, If You Asked Me To by Patti Labelle would be way up there. Tough list to put together, many songs in the middle I feel about the same about.

I've never really held the newer songs up to the same standards as the originals. Music in films just isn't what it used to be.
14.TWINE. I love Garbage.
15.GE-not the album mix! Awful!
16. TND-would be higher if there were no vocal. It's a great melody, great production, but unbelievably horrid vocal performance and some cringe-worthy lyrics.
17.DAD. It's not really bad, but it's not really that good either...doesn't fit much...
18.All Time High-Yay! 1983 lounge music! Weeee! Really nothing worth remembering or ever listening to. I'd rather have a song called Octopussy.
19.LTK. I'll admit, late 80's R&B really isn't my thing but this is a bit of the mark even for Bond. As a kid I used to make fun of it all the time, but it does have a nice intro and reference to the GF melody. Not really bad, and it has kinda grownm on me because of its dark feel.
But there is one I hate. One I loathe, one that made me fast forward through the titles every time even as a 5 year old.
That is the abomination of FYEO. What were they thinking???? Ugh! (Ok, it's not really that bad of a song, and I don't hate it quite that much anymore. But who thought this was a good fit? It's bad enough to slap the Bill Conti score onto a "serious return", but then have this as your title song? It's as if they wanted people to forget about FYEO afterwards!)
