Birds of the West Indies on eBay

hoshihoshi Perth, AustraliaPosts: 27MI6 Agent
The price for this is beyond my reach (saving up for Vesper's purple Cavalli gown, don't you know) but I'm sure some interested collector on these forums would be interested in this 1936 edition of "Birds of the West Indies" that's up on eBay at the moment.

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this thread, please move it if necessary.

There was a promotion in Harrods at Christmas, but I thought that he had stopped taking orders on the original design, although H's still does have two in stock last month but I forget which concession had them.

$950.00 and no dust cover. Not for my hard earned duckets.

There is always someone on eBay who gets a decent item, then puts a super price on it and hopes the right "dufus" comes along.

Worst thing is, sometimes they don't have to wait too long for the "dufus"

It's just wishful thinking on my behalf. Being out here in Perth, it's difficult to get my hands on limited promotional items. But I'd rather save my pennies for the possibility of that gown than spend them on this book, as much as I love rare books.

Interesting to see the price put on this book. I have the same first edition, plus mine was autographed by the author ("Best regards, Jim Bond"), and I did not pay anywhere near that price three years ago! ;)

    Hello all,

I'm in the market for this book. The edition that appears in DAD of course.

If anyone is selling one, please drop me a line?
