Goldfinger Slazenger V neck

From the "Goldfinger" golf scene and worn by Sean Connery. It looks like a Slazenger logo on the left breast but is it a Slazenger V neck ? Is it black ? Is it still available anywhere ? Help...

Yes, it is a black V neck, despite some photos making it look maroon. Try ebay...you have to get the VINTAGE one because the logo has changes SO many times....

No, it's maroon with a gold logo. The cleaned up special edition DVD's should bare it out. I also have original photo's showing maroon and gold. Also a British GQ showed replica sweaters for sale in maroon, however the logo was in white which was not correct. Also the sweater worn by Connery has the appearence of wool rather than cotton. Modern day Slazenger sweaters all seem to be in cotton with the logo facing the opposite direction.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.

Well, gang this is interesting. I was was having a PM discussion about this with one of the other members. Slazenger was bought out as the new house brand of golf gear by Dick's Sporting Goods here in the states. With a little luck, the fall collection will include the sweaters/jumpers. After asll it is classic Slazenger. I'm keeping my eye out.

I got my Slazenger sweater from the UK almost 10 years ago and have been looking for the stockist, they specialized in the the Goldfinger Slazie sweater. I have their listing somewhere, but it's been a while. I'm sure in a file somewhere.
