To the best of my knowledge, it is...but I don't have HD, so there is no apparent difference. It looks fine to me...but I'm no videophile.
My leap to Blu-ray will have to wait...

"I am not an entrant in the Shakespeare Stakes." - Ian Fleming
"Screw 'em." - Daniel Craig, The Best James Bond EverTM
Might wait a bit, great transfer and commentary is all I ask for. Seven hours of extras does sound fun though .. -{
As for Blu-Ray, no hurry here either. The individual UE editions look just fine to me. Those wonderful Macnee narrated documentaries my main selling point.
I finally got my CR 3 disc DVD last week after ordering it via Amazon - it didn't come out in South Africa as far as I know.
The packaging is very attractive and comes in a very sturdy slip case, which encloses a folding booklet containing the three discs and a glossy booklet.
The extras are great - two commentaries for starters. I haven't listened to the whole of the crew commentary yet, but the Campbell/Wilson commentary was very entertaining and informative, just as they were on GE.
The featurettes about Fleming and the Bahamas were pretty good, but the prize was the one about the various screen incarnations of CR. I thought I knew the story, but there was a lot of detail about the history of CR that I was unaware of. Also, a pleasant surprise was the filmmaker profiles, which were not written essays about the key crew members, but rather featurettes in their own right, featuring interviews with the crew members in question and behind the scenes footage. Also, the storyboard to screen bit on the airport chase was far better than the usual storyboard/film comparison, mixing in interviews and behind the scenes footage as well.
This is definitely the DVD I've been waiting for for nearly two years. The only things missing are the trailers and photo galleries - otherwise up to par and above par compared to the Ultimate Editions.
