Here's another paint-up of the same sculpt. Nice job, eyebrows need to be lighter.

    Your probably right ;)

The sculpt itself is great, I'm just not over keen on the paint job - it could be that the picture doesn't do it justice.

Ironically, the overall effect has the "factory painted" legitimacy that to me, is more often than not the deal breaker in terms of my preference toward production vs. custom figures.

But yes, I agree despite the polish, it is lacking in capturing personality essence.

In reply to an earlier point, why not DC in the Madagascar shirt, Jack Purcell shoes etc...
    We seem so set on the project with the replica full size shirt im sure it would work!-{

The problem is getting a similar shirt in 1/6th scale.

I've seen that custom before, but I've no idea how he got that material to make that shirt, and would have no way of getting it myself. Unless you know how I can get one?

I've always like his 60's Batman stuff. But I wish he made "recipes"

That guy actually prints onto the fabric using a printer off his computer. It's unbelievable detail. Check out hsi Blade Runner custom - he was able to make accurate patterns for Deckard's shirt and tie. Really nice stuff.

I found these links posted by a Bond customizer, who unfortunately doesn't take commisions anymore. She did a kilted OHMSS Lazenby, which I think you already saw, Night.

I know it looks like an involved process, especially for a beginner customizer. But at least it's a process, and if you can create a sheet or two of the print you want, you'll have fabric that can be sent off to someone who can tailor the shirt like Project ARE.

Steve is one of the easiest people to deal with, a truely great artist, and his wife makes the outfits which are just wicked...

These figures are pride of place in my collection...

the only likeness of DC that is worthy of the prefix "like"...

frankly, the others I've seen (or own) are just poor immitations (no offense..)

and that includes the Sideshow examples kicking around so far, although maybe final versions will be more worthy....

when it comes to mannequins, the Ledfords are sharper than Tussauds.... B-)

Have to disagree with you, there are some MUCH sharper headsculpts of DC than the one above. It looks good, but there are better (see the one I posted awhile back, which I believe to be BY far the most human looking)

This isn't a Bond figure, but you can pre-order the Golden Compass Lord Asriel figure here, for only $5.99.

I think it looks pretty cool.

cool....always a personal opinion, and while i probably saw your post, time flies when your having so much fun, so my aging jet-lagged braincells are sending "not knownat this address" signals... ?:)

any chance of the link to the post,or even dare I say it,wash my mouth out with soap, surely such a thing would increase my CO2 footprint and offend someone...

    a re-post?....{[]
