4 or 5 Films would be ideal. I guess my answer would be for as long as he wishes
That's how I figure it, as well. The key is for Eon to keep producing viable scripts.

If I learned today that Daniel Craig was not coming back I would be one happy camper.
Me too.
I think, however, that Craig will be making four films. I imagine he will be making one more film to complete the trilogy, and perhaps a fourth film after that. He might do five, but it depends on how big the gaps between films are.

And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman
We are getting Craig haters as well as Brosnan haters now? )
As I have stated before I do not hate Daniel Craig and I think he has provided fine performances in the two films he has done. In my eyes, he just lacks certain qualities that I think Bond should have.
As to how many he will do, I believe 3. It looks as though we will have a delay before filming begins on the next Bond film and Craig appears to be aging rapidly. Yes, I know Roger played Bond to a much later age then Craig is, but Roger has a younger than he is appearance, not so Craig. So by the time they get to filming Bond 24, Craig may look too old to play Bond.
Money wise, isn't he locked in for three movies, then with the fourth he's got them over a barrel regarding cash, assuming he's still hot and a commercial prospect, eg Moore's massive payday with Moonraker and thereafter...
Therefore he's be a fool to bow out after just three, four is okay, five pushing it really.
The way I see it, the magic number is six. Six is the number of official Bond films that Connery made as well as IMO the number of films Moore should have made. That said, I hope that Craig doesn't make six, and I would also be disappointed if he makes five, since if any Bond post-Moore were to have made five, I think it should have been Brosnan. I think that Craig will settle on four. Unlike Brosnan, who would have been happy to make a fifth, I think that Craig will begin to tire of the role by the third film, and will be be happy to call it a day with the fourth film.

To your continued Bond-related unhappiness! {[] I'd still love him to tie Sir Roger :007) ...however, if he gets to the point where it looks like he wasn't even on the set the day the stunts were done (like Sir Roger), he needs to go.
Moore was creaky beyond his years; I'll take Craig's craggy face and athleticism over Moore's dandified handsome pensioner any day---but that's as much about a taste in Bond styles as anything.

Come on, Roger was on the set, I am sure he did his own stunt work in AVTAK, climbing the elevator shaft while it was on fire. )
To your last point...agreed.

I'm hoping he will do two more, at least. I know he will do a third one, but I'm not sure if he will be enthusiastic about fourth. I am confident that he won't do as much as Roger Moore though.
