I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, caught the tail end of the National Movie Awards on ITV1 today at appox 10.30 pm, think it was on since 9pm. From references made I believe Casino Royale won best Action Film; when others in the running were Spiderman 3, Pirates etc.

For best Female performance the teenage girl from Harry Potter won it over Eva Green, D Judi Dench for CR and Keira Knightley for Pirates.

However there was a SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD for JAMES BOND. Sir Roger came on stage to talk a bit about Bond, they showed clips and interviews with the Six, as well as Broccolli, Ken Adams etc. Them M Wilson and Barbara came on stage to join Sir Rog to accept the award and Wilson did a bit of speech and thanked all the behind the scenes gang and us, ie the audience for keeoing it alive for 45 yrs

Probably will be repeated on ITV2 soon.

{[] TeeHee. That was a classy speech from Sir Roger. A touching tribute to Cubby and a few nice one-liners, "I actually had to buy a DVD, without a discount." :)) And Barbara B is hot.

    Babs is definitely aging well!

Though I love Bond getting any award, this entire ceremony is completely worthless - Hermione Granger is Best Actress!?!
