    yes i was at first going to make it black before i even started on the rest of it. but i wanted to keep the old vintage look which the case has and i think if i made it black it would have taken away the aged look and state And i wanted it to be like the original is now is a worn state... altho the original is alot more damaged than mines... so i decided to leave it Borwn.. still i am happy with it .. And the fact that its a dark brown makes it a little bit unique to other replicas ... thanks for the suggestion ... much appreciated
