well, looks like the numbers and factual photographic evidence have it, 45mm PO it is. I havent seen one picture with an old model seamaster with a black bezel in it.

The watch worn in QoS, that can be deduced from the photo evidence that has been seen is the 42.5mm Planet Ocean worn with the stainless steel bracelet.
In Casino Royal he wore the 45mm Planet Ocean on back rubber strap and then when given the Poker playing assignment he changed to the Blue faced Seamaster. (Forgive me but I do not know the size!)
On a personal note, I have the Planet Ocean and when I bought it the kind salesman gave me the stainless strap as well as the the rubber one. (I think he just wanted to clinch the deal) Just recently I swapped over the the Stainless strap but just didn't like it, the watch sort lost its visual impact, so I swapped it back to the rubber one.
I took a look the other day at the stainless 45 and 42.5 and i have to say that i prefer the 42.5, atleast for me. I still want to pick up the 45 rubber though
Away at Boot Camp, won't be back until April the earliest.
I personally think the 45mm PO is way too big, even with a rubber strap. I still have my heart set on the smaller Planet Ocean. The regular Seamaster is 41mm and 3mm thinner than the PO, so its likely Bond switches to that model when donning a suit. I currently wear a Tissot that is nearly identical in size to the Seamaster, and it is as big as i would ever want to wear with sleeves.
I must say the new black SMP is very nice indeed. I think i'd like to replace my 2254.50 with it, except I can't really afford a co-axial seamaster. Is it confirmed that the black 'bond' seamaster will be in QOS? It seems excessive to have the PO *and* the SMP in the movie.
can anyone tell me when the new black seamaster is going on sale??? the only listings i can find at the moment are for the limited edition with the 007 sweep hand.... at the mo i have the "original" Brosnan quartz model which has served me so well over the years.... it's still accurate to -1 second over 10-12 days, which after about 12 years is phenomenal...but i admit i just covet an Omega with the words "co axial" on it.....
I'm delighted that they'e using the Planet Ocean with bracelet in QoS. I love this watch. Bought one recently and I'm over the moon with it. Wasn't quite so thrilled that the price is now £2,000 here in the UK, but they're worth it.
Mind you, I still think the Brosnan / CR Seamasters are all beautiful watches.
Does the new Teaser Poster give us any better indication if it's the 42mm or the 45.5mm PLanet Ocean. It's damm hard to tell - but it does look like a "Larger" version.
I have little concerns that the Poster may also be fan Art as the entire concept of the titles is more or less 1:1 to this brilliant Fan Art by Darth Bork:
Just to throw this into the pot, is it possible that they had a 42 and a 45.5 on the set and that Craig could wear different ones with different wardrobes.
I realize this takes one out of the Bond continuity, but it is, afterall, a movie.

Calm down Chewie, no-one called you a walking carpet.
Just a little 1970's PSA spoof featuring everyone's favorite Wookie:

Mech. watches will never reach the precision of quartz watches.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
As he highlighted the accuracy of his current watch, I thought, I'll give him that info.
I own mechanical watches only for good reasons.

I have the 45.5mm version and to me it looks just like it.
First one clearly shows the 42mm Planet Ocean. (This is where he is on a speedboat)

The second frame has left me slightly confused.....is this the much spoken about black faced Seamaster?

Sorry for the quality on the last clip, but it really seen for a fleeting moment
The 45.5 mm version would look significantly bigger on his wrist, especially with the metal bracelet.
Definitely the 42 mm.

Yeah, no 45.5 in this film.
You have been only one "," away from me doubting your credibility.
At first, I understood:
"Yeah, no, 45.5 in this film"
Shocking, absolutely shocking!
