Broke into car..stole 007 item

I am somewhat upset as I write this post. About a week or so ago I found that my car was broken into. The idea of 'broken' is not entirely correct since it appears that someone used a slim-jim to gently open it and go through what I had inside. Well, they found my nice pair of Persol sunglasses and ran away with them in addition other minor things.

I am now in need of finding the same pair that I had but I really don't trust anyone on ebay when it comes to acquiring an item such as this one. Is this item no longer available? Can someone help me out here? I am looking at attempting to go to any local store (Coral Gables, FL) and trying to see if they have it. I know it comes in two sizes and I can't remember which one I had.

I dont know if you can get them in stores but I think you can find them in some online stores still.

Here in Holland and Belgium the glasses are actually still for sale everywhere, please contact me if anyone is in need of a pair. Let me know the exact size (57mm or 60mm).

Tip for people that don't have them yet and are buying them online or in a store: make sure you get the Persol 2720, Turtle frame and green lenses, color code 24/31, in a special 007 embossed case. Any other color or number is not the officially endorsed Persol. This pair comes in two sizes (57mm or 60mm).

The Persol 2244 is the other pair worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. Look for Brown lenses, color code 834/33. This one doesn't come with a special case.

Also make sure that the people in the store make the frame fit your head. They measure, heat the frame and bend it a just a little to make it fit tighter. Especially with the 2720 this is quite good, because the glasses are quite heavy and otherwise might not stay on when engaging in some Bond action.

Sorry to hear that Mikep99 - but as I read the title and the first line of your post - I thought that you were about to admit that you broke into a car to steal a Bond item !!! Phew, in a way.

Whic could lead to different topic as to 'Underhand techniques you have used in acquiring Bond items'

Thank you for your concern. I too was upset.

I have PMed both of you already. I found a place on line by the name of gooddens.com whic sells a pair but I cannot tell if it is the polarized.
