Hey everyone,
First off: Happy Birthday James Bond !!! (11/11/20)
I haven't posted in a few years, but I still visit regularly to see what's goin' on. So anyway, I'm currently running through the Bond flicks in order to commemorate 2007 (the year of 007) which is also the 45th anniversary. They really should have put a film out this year, methinks.
Anyway, when I got to LALD I noticed something that had bothered me before, but I still don't know whether it was a mistake in the script or if they didn't make it obvious enough.
When Mr. Big meets Bond the second time he mentions, "First you go up to Harlem and kill one of the brothers..." ; who is he talking about? The only thing I can think of is the two guy who are told to, "Take this honkey out and waste him." Are we to believe that Bond killed a man with a fire escape ladder? Obviously it's possible, but movie logic usually dictates that if someone is hit on the head they are knocked out.
Thoughts?

Of course one can kill a person by hitting them on the head. One of those two guys did die, which is how I always saw it.
Btw, Big Trouble In Little China is fantastic. I love Carpenter. I still have to see The Thing.
Welcome Back!
Thanks for the welcome! Besides Bond movies, I'm fairly obsessed with Hammer and John Carpenter films. You should check out "The Thing" asap; it's Carpenter's greatest horror film.{[]
I am a huge Hammer Horror fan. I own the first Hammer collection on DVD. It has all my favorites like Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed and Horror of Dracula. {[]
Count (geddit?) me in as well! I'm also into the old Universal horrors (hence Bride Of Barbel, Son Of Barbel etc).
