Now that's good news indeed. I've been "jonesing" for this shirt for a long time. Make it happen!

Oh yes. If this was to become a huge production made thing and not a small run then I certainly wouldn't be as interested in the shirt, as I'm sure many other members would agree. It's the very very small limited run and exclusivity that is drawing me to buy this shirt. And it is coming soon too. Great stuff!!!!!!

The only thing though is that by having such a small run at such a high cost, it eliminated a lot of people from being able to participate in this project that normally would have. If the price of this shirt had went any higher, I would have probably had to bow out as well. For me, it doesn't matter either way whether this shirt is limited like it is, or mass produced, but that's just my opinion. I can't wait to get the final product when it's completed though!

If Rolex produced a Dr No Limited Edition Submariner, I'd be in like Flint. Sod the cost. I'm sure even more people would be eliminated from that venture. If replicas were made, I wouldn't touch em with a barge pole, but they'd probably sell like hot cakes. Ones mans meat etc....

I can understand where you are coming from Asp, even though I don't feel the same way you do. You want as close to the real thing as possible, fine. I am not trying to dispute that or change the current price because I know its not going to change and everything is set and moving forward.

What I am asking to be considered, is after this is done, is there any chance of someone else doing another shirt with this fabric if there is any leftover, for a more affordable price so those of us fans who can't hack the $340 have the chance to own something similar. I think there are a number of us out there who would like a shirt, but don't care if it's made by the Craig tailors or to the exact specifications. I would rather have a shirt that fits and looks good on me instead of one that is an exact reproduction to the T. I just want a short sleeve shirt with this fabric, but since the fabric is no longer available and the remaining is not in my possession and it is not possible to get any, unless anyone has any suggestions. I am asking the powers that be to consider doing something else, not as limited.

Theoretically, those of you who want the strictly limited and screen accurate edition will get just that if you pay for it and you know you have that rare version so there is no reason to get upset over lesser ones being out there. Meanwhile the rest of us could get a regular shirt. I am sure someone like Indy would be open to making shirts if he had the fabric. It is just a little irritating and some of use feel excluded if there is extra fabric, and something can be done with it for true Bond fans on here who really want one. $340 is a little much for a short sleeve shirt, but I am not going to go down that road. Again, I am not vying or harassing you to change this price. Thats done and over. I am asking for considerations for other options down the road with this fabric for your fellow devoted Bond brothers.
    Thanks

I for one, like some previous posters, am attracted by the exclusivity of this project. I don't mean to sound elitist about it but I would be hacked off, if after expending £170, I found out that the same shirts were being knocked off for a lesser sum!

It's a bit like approaching Omega and asking them to release a cheaper Seamaster because you can't stretch to the 2 grand price tag...

Exactly. Anyway, the good news. We should have the first accurate shirt available soon so we can show you how they will look with the patterns matching. Just waiting for the buttons to be put on then we are a go.

Quite possibly one of the worst analogies I have ever heard and a really big stretch. You did a say a bit, so maybe I am overreacting, but the two are completely different.
You are comparing a luxury watch made by an established watchmaker with a custom made reproduction shirt, which is an individual project run by a few men, Bond fans for Bond fans who like to help each other out, or so I thought. Asking for some alternative ideas and suggestions is not unreasonable for this particular venture, given all the variables. But hey, as long as you guys are all set and have your shirts, who the hell cares about any of these other jackasses? Right?

Also, if Omega had an exorbitant overstock of watches like there will be yards upon yards of fabric left over (my guess), they would likely sell them at a marked down price.
Look at the watch market. The price of the Seamaster is comparable to other luxury watches, so that is an established.

Not at all, it's simple -you pay your money, you take your choice.

    Looks very good!!

The front looks great!! They even lined up one side of the shirt to the other. Very nice!!

The yoke could be a little better, it looks almost crooked like it's more lined up on the left shoulder than the middle.

You misspelled pocket in the link to the other pic. I'll put it up for you.

The back doesn't seem to line up nearly as well as the front though. Wasn't it supposed to?

Have the pictures been removed?! I cant see them.

I can see the pics now there must have been a glitch. Wow it looks great. One query though, have the collar wings been shortened? I remember earlier in this topic that there were concerns that they were inaccurate due their excessive length. Can anyone clear this up? Cheers guys.
