I'm not sure of the company you have manufacturing these, but have you ever considered sending a shirt to Magnoli Clothiers for them to replicate? I don't know if they would be any less expensive, but either way, I'm still getting one of these.

I believe that Magnoli has produced some but took them down to make some corrections.

Mantis has pics on the previous page. Looking good in your pics Mantis. What's the shirts eygptian cotton material like? Also the shirt looks quite slim fitting in those pictures! As for completing the full madagascar look, has anyone had any luck tracking down the blue undershirt? I can't find anything like it anywhere. I have though, found a good pair of substitute grey trousers from a well known high street mens store.

The slim fit of the shirt in the pictures is because the one I am wearing is DC's size, who had a smaller waist than I do (working on it...damn the holidays) but we have the same shoulder width. The one that was made in my size is coming soon. I believe that quality control on these shirts will make everyone happy and since these look to be a Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza gift i am certain everyone wants their perfect.
BTW, the fabric is incredibly luxuirous...flows and sits perfectly but must be the highest grade of egyption cotton I have ever experience...nearly sea island!

    Can someone post DC's measurements?
  • The Bond ExperienceThe Bond Experience Newtown, PAPosts: 5,490Quartermasters
DC's measurements will not be posted due to the fact that it is coming from info of the costumer.

What might you need it for?

I was possibly interested in getting one made to DC's specs. Mantis, any way you could PM me the correct measurements?

Thank you so much for your continued patience around this endeavor. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is NOT a train.

I would have posted more updates but I have been prioritizing some family crises appropriately, which again I thank you all for being patient against.

All that being said...we have a lot of shirts that are made and ready to ship and some that still have to be completed.
A lesson around "sometimes the smallest things can cause the biggest disruptions" has been true here.

Those damned buttons have caused us no end of angst but we are moving past the deficit of them and will complete the unfinished shirts with buttons that are close to the originals. It is an artistic decision we need to make so we do not hold up anyone's shirts. Quite frankly it wont be a flagrant or obvious difference but in the spirit of being transparent we wanted to make you aware.
It is our intent to attempt to make/locate the actual buttons eventually...but this could take months.
In the mean time I'll offer a small discount ($15) off and continue the deliveries.
Once we have the appropriate buttons those who have the incorrect one's can "buy" them for the same $15. It may be upto the shirt owner to do the sewing..

Please reply as to thoughts so we can start making deliveries next week.

    cheers Paul

    Paul,
I want the correct buttons. You don't have to do any refund for me. I can wait for the correct buttons - no problem. But if mine is already completed with the substituted buttons you can proceed with the delivery and follow up with the right buttons. Thank you for the updates and all the effort in this project,
    Kan

I'll take my shirt with the substitute buttons as soon as it's done. No need for the refund. Keep hold of it and just forward the buttons once they're ready.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

    Dave.
