Paul was kind enough to make mine extra speedy as he knew I was going to Africa in a few days. Gents, this is the quality of service being offered by Paul. Thanks to all involved in this project.

I will take some photos "on location" in Africa and post them on my return...

And, yes it is a decent fit

Firstly, I asked my secretary to post this shirt to stewart as we were running out of time before his trip. Sadly she forgot to include a note saying

"the shirt was FYEO, keep to yourself or i'll beat TLD out of you... "

anyway, apologies to all others, i promise to get these going next week.

Hope all understand, and if anyone can make as strong a case as Stewart, that they really have to have their asap, then i'll listen.

Oh, and i did mention that some shirts will have the correct buttons and some won't so pls take note....

Now I also said i'd PM each to make sure they wanted their shirt sent IF THEIRS doesn't have the correct buttons.....

    pls reply asap...

others, i'll just drop you a line saying your shirt is on it's way.

I hope this will satisfy all...

    cheers Paul

asia eh?...i've read about guys like you...

actually ASP9mm said he wanted me to give him ur shirt so he could give ut to you personally...

said he wanted to "use" it in some way... :s

I know you two are close.. :o

btw, this reminds me, before anyone asks/freaks, I need to find out about washing instructions....

    suspect it's a dry clean only...{[]

Now more importantly, some of you will notice pm and emails sent to you...

i'm trawling through the list as i type..

    pls read and respond...

    cheers Paul

    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :o

I even don't want to imagine, what he's having in mind with "using"

And I am sure, that there will be more than a dryclean necessary to get the shirt back in shape then...

But as long as you charge him and not me, that's fine :D

Depends a little on how long you cook them :D

What Paul conveniently left out was the fact, that my wife is with me in asia....

    ....and hopefully the Maddy shirt.

:s Hope, that I can make the trip to there after being in the pub with Asp9mm and probably Paul...

    moving quickly on.... :o

Ok I've just spent hours composing and sending 25 individual emails and PMs to each of you.

    For anyone who;

    spots a typo
    has clearly the wrong measurements
have already agreed something else with me
have asked for special accomodations (not before 31st jan, not until the full moon, send to my granny etc) please understand that i tried to make these emails copy and paste...

therefore please don't be rash and abusive when you reply to tell me of my humble error.. :o

can everyone reply with their preferences asap..

remember i'm hoping to try to get these done bulk next week....

I'm not going to get the time to individually wrap these :)

    cheers

D'oh...sorry about that! If you feel the need to place your secretary and I in a pit with a Mongoose and viper with a baying mob for company as punishment, then I will at least be suitably dressed

Are we waiting for everyone to add their phone numbers before all the shirts are posted? It could be a while before everyone has returned to the site and read the latest update.

    Any updates?
  • ke02ewwke02eww USPosts: 2,063MI6 Agent
    you read my mind...

I'm waiting for a couple more tel no's...i'll pm those individually 2nite...

furthermore, my "postman" has been snowed out (he's outside London, I'm inside) since sunday, so it would have been impossible to get the shirts to him anyway...

apols to those who have coughed up details, but i guess mother nature doesn't want you to get your shirt just yet...

as i'm off to the land of the Rolex tomorrow, i'm afraid this will have to wait until next week....

finally, we had an interesting request and I wanted to share it with others...

someone asked for a long sleeved version of the shirt....with double cuffs...

    anyone else keen?...

    cheers Paul

Hi, I am a huge JBL fan but a newbie to ajb007. Is it at all possible to order one of the shirts ?

I can appreciate the huge effort that people have gone to getting the shirt produced, so apologies in advance if this message sends anyone postal.

I've been called alot of things, but German had certainly never been one of them.

I don't quite understand the hostility here... I don't really think I need to justify myself, but I might as well, since I seem to be taking some flak...

I believe one of the main reasons for starting this project was, and I quote the first post: "These will be truely unique, and can be heavily personalised."

If anything, double cuffs will be something truely unique, and it would be taking Bond's style and adapting it (in this case) to my own. Bond certainly inspires alot of us on these boards, but rather than be a carbon copy, I think most of us should try tweak the look to suit our own stylistic choices...

I don't necessarily expect everyone to agree with what me, but at the very least, please respect my choices as I've respected yours. After all, isn't this philosophy what the whole fictional-character-gear's lifestyle is built upon?

Jonathan, I really admire what you've done for the gear community, and I am sure the rest of us are grateful for the fruits of your labor. I just wish you understand where I am coming from.

I think ASP9mm was jokingly refering to Bondtoys of Germany - it was purely an "in" joke and absolutely no hostility involved.;)

:o o-oh, not only that Asp9mm has a long history with messing up with the girls here on the board, now he's having quarrellings with the male part of the community as well :D

...and just for the info Zander, I am the German, that everybody is bashing at. :007)

dammit, texas007 was faster! What kind of shirt have you been ordering by the way?

    I take back what I said... ;%

Is it too late for me to claim that what I said was in defense of Bondtoys? :))

And assuming I haven't been stepping on too many toes, I *think* I should have a shirt with French cuffs on order just like everybody's German friend! :p
