Here are a few hard to forget instances in movies and TV shows that feature disturbing body dismantling:
CSI: There are three nasty cases of body dismemberment that are pretty graphic for primetime telly - a unpopular chef gets murdered by his colleagues, then hacked up on the floor of a kitchen and fed through a meat grinder, a dysfunctional teenaged girl dumps her mother's limbless torso in a landfill (with the head still attached), while a jealous surgeon completely dissects another man in bathtub over a love affair (with hundreds of body slices deposited in every bin in a backstreet).
American Psycho: The severed head of a attractive brunette woman is found on the top shelf of Patrick Bateman’s fridge, sealed inside transparent shrink wrap.
The Sopranos: A famously grisly and darkly funny scene where Tony, with the help of his drugged up son, removes Ralph's severed bald head and hands from a bathtub, and casually places the body parts inside a bowling bag (even bundling in Ralph's cheesy wig).
Very Bad Thing: A stag party goes horribly wrong with a Vegas hooker and porter lying dead in a blood drenched hotel bathroom, so the sleazy yuppies attending the party illegally clean up - the bodies are systematically broken down into ten pieces each by a power saw, packaged up in tarpaulin, and crammed into luggage (the body parts are buried in a sandy shallow grave, but not before a bizarre body jigsaw puzzle at the behest of Daniel Stern‘s character).
