Can anyone please give me some information on this knife

what type of knife and manufacturer ?

does anyone know.

any help would be great .

also where did this knife come from because Bond gets held at gun point by his own PPK and the guy who he fights in the hotel room with holds him at knife point with a flick knife which this is not so how did bond end up throwing this into the caledar.

The throwing dagger is the weapon of the large black fellow who attacked Bond in Tracy's room the night before.

When Bond is "escorted" into Draco's car that same bloke is sitting on the far right, and threatens Bond with it.

Later, in the struggle Bond initiates outside of the door to Draco's office, Bond takes pocession of the knife, then once inside the offices throws it into Draco's calender.

Yes thats the way it goes.

But when bond gets into the car the guy has a silver flick knife. you even here the noice of it flicking out aswell as seing it flick out I am sure. it is a silver knife

yet the one bond throuws into the calendar is a brown handled long dagger type knife.

Again does anyone know what kind or make is this knife. please any information would be great

I believe the differences between the knives is a fault of prop men who didn't think we would be watching these films over and over again, with such attention to detail.

Another "error" occurs in YOLT when Blofeld is about to shoot Bond with a .38 Webley. A throwing star hits Blofeld's wrist and by the time his revolver hits the ground it has morphed into a Colt!!

The "shiney" knife looks to me like Bond's Attache case dagger. The "calender" knife is similar to many on eBay, I wish I could identify it for you. My guess is that it was a mass produced item - not many custom makers about in the late 1960's.

Thanks for your information much appreciated its a hard knife to pin point .. however I know a knife specialist who deals in hunting and military memorabilia hope she might be able to identify it through a photo

she couldnt identify it just said from the 50's / 60's era nouthing else couldnt identify exact manufacturer or make

I have seen similiar knives on ebay, but ran through them all a day ago and found nothing with the wooden handle.

I suspect that in the end, ebay is the best place to search, since this is in any event a long out of print knife, kind of like looking for a Bond watch strap from the 1960's!!!

The other option is to have a custom knife maker knock one out.

costly ! having one made but still an option.

I will let you know if I get one I will obviously post it on my site..
