Anyone know of any reliable sources for Jack Purcell shoes in size 10 to 11 in Chocolate/paprika colour. Dont care how much they cost. Or if anyone is selling any.

I haven't been posting that long and I can't figure out how to post the image.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
I was simply offering the idea of these shoes to those who cannot find the spot on chocolate/paprika CR shoes but still want a pair of Jack Purcell's close enough to the movie. As we all too painfully know, The chocolate/paprika shoes seem to have gone the way of the dinosaurs. Beggars can't be choosers. Being a size 9.5 or 10 in US, I myself fall into the aforementioned "beggar" category. I was happy to find them.
If you're wearing long pants with these shoes I don't think the difference will be that noticeable as the "chocolate" part of the shoe will be the predominant color that is seen.
I know of others who have gone a similar route with the Nike Air Articulate II's from the Venice scene. The original screen shoes were grey. However, if those were not available people have sought out the same model in a different color. As an example...If you check out Mantis' photo collection in the CR portion of his website you will see that he has a pair of Nike Air Articulates in black.
I can't speak for Mantis, but it is safe to assume the grey would have been his first choice and he settled with the black when it was obvious that the grey could no longer be found on God's green earth...or for that matter the blue part of God's green earth. If I could find black Nike Air Articulates in my size (a 10 or 10.5 in most Nikes as that brand runs small from my experience) I would jump on them in a heartbeat. I'd still want the grey but I would take the black if they were they only ones available.
Personally, I think the stripe color is the biggest difference between two Converse shoes. The paprika stripe DOES look much different than the tan. However that stripe was changed to black for the movie and I plan on converting my tan stripe to black as soon as I get them. Having said that I think the difference between the two shoes will be less striking if the front stripe on both is black.
I don't want to discourage anyone from continuing to seach for the chocolate/paprika shoes...If you MUST have that color combination then go with whatever makes you happy.
Assessing my situation, I guess I'm pragmatic in that I realized it is not likely that I will find the chocolate/paprika shoes, so I went with the closest substitute. Now if I happen to stumble across a pair of the paprika, you can bet I'll jump on them. I just didn't want to be totally empty handed...It's close enough for me. If it's not for you then, as always, "happy hunting".
On the chocolate and tan, what is the tan part of the shoe made from? It looks like flannel or suede in the pics.
