I posted this earlier but I will not be able to take part in an XMAS bondathon (Not on actual XMAS day obviosely) because of my darned aunty X-(. But I will take part in one to celebrate Flemings 100th b-day! :). So, here, if anyone wants to, why don't you post down comments and rules for the bondathon?

Ian Fleming's birthday is May 28th, so I'm not sure about taking part because of the films which will be released by then. :#

However, I might (just MIGHT) change my mind, as who knows, some of those films could turn out to be crap. 8-)

Your idea of a Bondathon for Fleming's birthday is a novel one ;), and maybe could be brought up again closer to the date.

How exactly is this going to work in a day ?

When I had chicken pox I watched all the Bond films on DVD in a week (well, what else do you do when you have chicken pox at 32 yrs of age?) this was pre-DAD
    Monday night...Dr No & FRWL
    Tuesday... GF - LALD
    Weds... TMWTGG -FYEO
    Thurs... OP -TLD
    Fri... GE - TWINE
It took a lot out of me actually, and it was a lot easier to watch the early Bond films than the later ones. Thursday was a real killer. I often wonder how i would feel if i watched them in reverse order....

Did you skip LTK, or was that an accidental omission? I agree about them getting tedious toward the end, but since the only ones I find boring are AVTAK and TND I have plenty to look forward to when watching in order (until DAD). DAD isn't so much boring as obnoxious, especially the casting and the dialog. I don't mind goofy stories if I like the cast and their interaction. :D
This is gonna take crackerjack timing...

I'm planning a little mini Bondathon during the next week or so to coincide with Christmas time. Not planning on watching all of the films but maybe like 12 or so. Plan to watch two a night. First up will be Goldfinger and OHMSS. I am trying to get a variety of films each night (different Bond, variety in time period, etc.). But also want them to go well together. I feel Goldfinger and OHMSS do. Any suggestions on other films that would go together well?

It's been almost a year since my Bondathon attempt last year, and it's not nearly been long enough to do it again. Maybe next year, though...

I've just started my own Bondathon of sorts. I started friday in an attempt to get through all the films by the coming sunday.
There is no real reason other than i haven't watched the films in a while and I don't start my new job til January so have time to kill.

I've just this minute finished Diamonds are Forever. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought i might. It was one of the films i was least looking forward to watching in all honesty. Aside from the rather hamfisted way Blofeld is 'killed' 8-) I enjoyed it from start to finish.
1- On Her Majesty's Secret Service 2- Casino Royale 3- Licence To Kill 4- Goldeneye 5- From Russia With Love

Oops, haven't looked at this thread since it was begun, I thought it was about something different. :s I started a thread on my own Bondathon, it could be folded into this one if a mod spots it and cares to. Apologies.

GE is just about over now, now quite as good as I remember with the finale being the best bit, but still a good film, roll on TND!
