the Thunderball location is cool but the The Bahama Bar is the best, the bar area actually exists, nice, i thought that scene was filmed in a studio.
maybe can get some pieces also :v
That's too bad for Bond fans. I went to Nassau, Bahamas for my honeymoon in 2000. I got a piece of the wall as well. I also was lucky enough to walk around the property of Rock Point which doubles as Palmyra in TBall. I simply went to the front door and asked if I could take pictures. The woman who answered said I was welcome to walk around the property and take pictures but that I could not go inside. I didn't much care about the inside because in the movie the inside of Palmyra is a set. I got to take pictures of the shark pool and regular pool. I also have a piece of the shark pool which was very run down. In fact, both pools and the back patio were in a poor state of disrepair. I also picked up some dirt as well.
In addition, I picked up a topographical map of Rock Point at one of the local government agencies. It shows all of Rock Point including pools, buildings, and elevations. The original pool had circular stairs at all four corners. Those stairs were covered by faux ends on the short sides to help contain the shark grating in the movie. When Connery visits Palmyra and enters the pool area, you see him step up onto the faux cement as he walks along the back side of the pool. Drawings of the circular stairs are also contained in the article on Thunderball in Esquire Magazine of the period.

Where can I get the white short sleeve shirt you are wearing?
Did you stay at the Ocean Club and if so how was it?
My wife and I are planning a trip and was thinking about statying there.
Also, what is the Door your wife is "presenting" is the pic?
Fun to see those locations; very impressed at the bar- nice to know they used the real thing. And to have your photo on the steps where they did the photocall- a sign of a true Bond fan!
Nice shirt, by the way.
