I did say it fitted :007)

Like the Criag casting, Eva Green's casting, going more character-driven in CR...Haggis back, Forster signed on for the next one...this isn't quite what I thought EON would do, but most welcome all the same. :007)

Why "SOLACE" as the name of the Organization, just a guess?

Could be, I suppose. I quite like the simple 'The Organisation' they've been using, but that wuold make sense. Craig has said the title ties into the main plot in some way (and I don't think he just means Bond's headspace) so it could well be that. Or perhaps 'quantum' refers to the nature of the 'resource' Greene is after...?

Just out of interest, do you think this title could yet be changed if it recieves negative reaction overseas? Do you remember when License To Kill was License Revoked at Cannes but was changed because supposedly it wasn't a well recieved in the American Market.

48 hours later, what is the reaction like Stateside?

According to a radio morning show that my dad listens to, the enthusiasm about the title isn't so great. I'm thinking it's a group of meatheads though that expect to have every Bond title use some variant of "death" or "die" every single time. 8-) Their opinion on the matter is that it won't draw a crowd or represent the magnitude of that which is Bond. I'm personally thrilled they used another Fleming title.

My GF heard them talking about QOS last weekend on NPR, said they didn't ave a problem with the title, just reported it and had a bit of a story about the filming.

Doubt they change the title, a couple knee-jerk stories won't change EON's mind if all the blather pre-CR about the direction they were taking Bond didn't. This is what Babs and Michael G. want to do with Bond and they're doing it, is the impression I get. Enjoy the ride. B-)

I love the idea that SOLACE could be the name of the organisation! Ties in beautifully, rather like the newspaper in TND being called TOMORROW.

Now, any fans wanna come up with what SOLACE could stand for assuming it is a nmonic?

SOCIETY OF LIBERATION AND COUNTER ESPIONAGE?

Wow! Just came up with that one? B-)

Very good indeed, 'larceny' instead of liberation however?

    I love that!

I suppose that it's a bit too much to be hoping for SPECTRE? I realize they might not want to go down that road and may want to come up with something completely new, but it would certainly be welcomed by me to see the return of this organization. This is the second film of the 'reboot' so it wouldn't interfere at all with continuity of the Connery films since they are part of a different series (at least if I understand this 'reboot' idea correctly).

While I see no issue rebooting SPECTRE/Blofeld, EON might. If this is their modern variation of same/same, then okay and why not? ;) Bond's been at sea, adrift without a steady foe--heck CR-to-QOS marks the first time since '71 Bond has faced the same bad guy organization? Whoa! :o Even the USSR had gotten short shrift in the series, almost from day one. Looking forward to some vilainous continuity! :v
