Hello,

does anyone have infos about the coming line of 007 replicas by MR?

There should be a Golden Gun coming soon, but all I have heard are rumors. Anyone?

They have made an announcement about their line of replicas due for this year and there is 2 editions of the Golden Gun (LE and SE, which I take to mean limited and special), the re-breather from Die Another Day and the wrist dart gun from Moonraker.

Quite a disappointing line up for the first run. I suppose the golden gun is a given, but I wish they'd have gone down a different route slightly from SD's releases.

The SE will no doubt be a Signature Edition. And going by the lightsaber market, the Icons sabers did reduce in value dramatically when the MR versions were released.

I am not a lightsaber expert and it would be fun to speculate a bit about the quality of the future MR 007 items.

How is the quality and accuracy of the MR sabers compared to the Icons sabers.

The question behind this:
Can we expect a similar quality for the GG etc as we are used to from the SD Studios items?

I would say the Golden Guns would be of the same or better quality as they will be made by the same guy Steve, just under a different name and company

Any more news on this illusive James Bond product line being released by MASTER REPLICAS...

The thing I don't understand was Master replicas teamed up with corgi or something to obtain the Bond licenece.... or something like that ...

and since Corgi are no more or the company was sold on has this effected the Master Replicas Bond range

is this a possibility ?

I also heard a rumour from a Bond collector. that the golden gun they had on show at the toy fair that we have all seen the pictures of was a publicity stunt .

..it was the only Bond replica prop on display and surely if they were releasing the illusive range which they mentioned they would have had some other prototypes on display ..

Mike, i also heard the terrible news regarding Corgi going out of bussiness, and if this is the case Master Replicas can't make the Bond props Corgi has the license.

I really wanted that gun, i hope SD Studio GG owners didn't sell there GG to buy the Master Replicas GG and still have cash left over.

from what I have heard, Corgi has been sold to UK company Hornby.

I doubt, that they have paid GBP 8.000.000,-- to let Corgi die.
Additionally I have no news, if MR is part of the deal and this info will be important to know, if we still have hope for the 007 MR items.

Just went onto the Master Replica website and there is no news about them losing the Bond licence. As a matter of fact the Bond items link is still active as they posted the QOS trailer and a blog.

I hope the golden gun goes ahead like you do Leo ... Its the only item I would have been buying from the Master Replicas Bond range...

I can see the master replicas Bond items if they are going to be releaced it will be closed to december rather than september which they were quoting .... I can't see it happening....

I am wondering though Leo ... it the master replicas golden gun going to be like the SD Golden gun .... you know the first version is good then they make another 4 versions and the last version is the best ... but they are only saying there releasing an SE and an LE golden gun ...

its all rather sketching ... I think them showing that Golden gun at the toy fair was just to genarate interest in there coming Bond range ... But I can't see them sticking to there quoted release dates..

well SD Golden Gun owner would be very very silly to sell there SD Guns to fund the purchase of a Master Replicas Gun because the release of the master replicas gun is surely going to make the SD Guns far more rare and push there value up...? maybe I am just guessing but this will more than likely happen.

It does seem very quiet on the MReplicas front. I hope the recent licensing changes havn't affected it.
