That was interesting. The first question was what does the title mean? ) BB looked hot. Apparently the film is going to focus on Bond's "inner turmoil" after Vesper's death. Interestingly, BB was asked if Vesper appears in flashback and she said, "not in flashback." I suspect that means that Vesper's presence will haunt the film, but others might imply that Miss Green does make an appearance. And it looks like Daniel Craig has a Roger Moore-style rolling contract, with the actor and Eon negotiating for each film. Oh and loads more action in this one apparently. And the door is open for Moneypenny and Q to return, but not in this film. :007)
She's going to be very different from the previous Bond girls.
"She's a fighter. This girl is going to kick ass.
Now where have we heared this before?
Oh Well, even though this quote fills me with a Brosnan Bond Girl related dread I am still very much optamistic about this film and I'm loving the incredibly short filming clips we've got.

Here we go. 'She is an equal with Bond!' Yaaaaaaawn!
I actually really like the title. If they were going to pick a Fleming one, that's the one to choose.
But as for the rest of the news...twice as much action, more gadgets, Camille and M "kicking ass"... I hope this isn't just a Brosnan movie again. I thought we were past that. Haggis better have wiped as much of Beavis and Butthead's sh*t to the curb as he possibly could.
Nina Nannar? Sounds like a dessert! And I love it: "The title is to be Quantum of Solace--whatever that means." Why do I get the feeling this will be a more-or-less universal reaction?
I saw the clip and it looks like M will be in the field again. When are they going to make the M character smaller like the good old days? All M needs to do is brief 007 at the beginning, maybe contact him during the mission, and have a funny scene at the end. Of all the M actors to be more active in the films, why Judi Dench's M? She is in her early 70s for goodness sake!
Here's to hoping Bond 23 introduces a new M, preferably a man in his late 50s to be in at least 7 films so he can be the M of the next generation as well as be a bridge between Craig and the 7th 007 actor. {[]
that the logo bears a marked resemblance to Casino Royale's, which is disappointing. Is the two-o's-forming-the-007 to be to Craig's logos what slanty writing was to Brosnan?
Anyone have a link where I can view the press conference? All I can seem to find is the quick 2 minute tour of the set, and some photo's.

This concerns me more than anything else I've heard about the movie. I am encouraged that the producers seem to be casting good, solid actors and actresses for the film but Halle Berry was a good actress and we all know how her "equal to Bond" role turned out. I really hope this isn't a sign of a return to the Brosnan Bond girl. I'm pretty convinced that Craig wouldn't let this happen so hopefully everything will work out and it won't be a big deal.
I seem to recall reading a post here stating there was supposed to be more action in this film than CR. If this is true is anyone else a tad concerned about this? When you combine this with a 120 minute film (20/25 minutes shorter than CR) then you have more action in a shorter film. A lot of what made CR great was the non-action scenes that featured great dialogue, acting, and drama. I really hope they aren't going to lose that.

Well it is a sequel to Casino Royale, I suppose. Harry Potter's logos all look the same etc.
I know what you mean, though. I was never actually that much of a fan of the diagonaldoubleOseven... and when you also consider how many O's are in 'Property of a Lady'...
As for Olga's chat about the Bond Girl being different - please. We've been hearing this since, what? Barbara Bach? Camille could be a muscle bound, Uzi wielding thug who made Bond whimper like a girl and defeated villains single handed, and the girl in Bond 23 would still have to say "my Bond girl is different - she's more of Bond's equal." The journalists at the press conference will always ask the question:
"How is your Bond girl different from the bimbos of the past films?"
and so the Bond Girl will always have to say the same. Take any comments with a pinch of salt, is my recommendation; I'm sure Tanya Roberts said the same at her press conference, too, and it didn't make her Sarah Connor.
Who was operating the camera? Paul Greengrass? Good grief, swoops, zooms, close-ups, and, for cryin' out loud, why was so much time spent on the rafters?!?
Is Dame Judi one fun gal, or what? I enjoyed her responses and her reactions, especially when hearing that the villain will have the "smile of Tony Blair" and the eyes of ol' Sarco.
While some of the questions were good--those about the film being a "sequel" (true) and Q, Moneypenny, and Eva Green being in the movie (no to all three) are the kinds of things a Bond fan would ask--but too may of them were downright vapid. "Isn't it time M got a love interest?" "Will James Bond go green?" Where's that famed nasty British press when you need it?
Babs Broccoli in a little black dress. . .MmmmmmmBOY!!!! (And it's Mickey G who gets to do cameos in the movies?!) That said, I don't think BB did herself any favors by saying she's trying to get Daniel Craig into his swim trunks again. Remember the wingnut who created everyone's favorite anti-Craig site all but said Craig got the job because Babs is all weak in the knees for him. This could be seen as proof.
And, Mike Wilson, my man, it's time to officially give up on the hair. If a man with your money can't get anything that looks better than a 14th century monk's tonsure, then invest in a simple electric razor and say goodbye to those locks. Women will think you look sexy, and, hey, you might even resemble Blofeld!
A new Bond film is officially underway. I'm happy.

I so totally agree! I love her, she's got such a great wit and humility about her. Love the comment about her grandson and his friends. She is looking absolutely lovely and luminescent too. Babs has nothing on her in that black dress Hardy!
I thought the reporter who asked about the reboot phase ending at this point and going back to Bond's career in progress for 23 was a fantastic question, too bad they asked it of Forster, who wouldn't have a clue!

Of Babs being a genius? Why not lobby for the return of the trunks, it's what the world (sans CNBers) apparently want, why should fans be denied? {:)
I'm looking forward to the day--perhaps in a couple years, at the Bond 23 press conference?--when the hot young actress just cast as the Bond girl gets asked the "how will you be different" question and responds: "Different? You mean from Eva Green in CR, and Olga Kurylenko in QOS? Not very, actually. My character is just as strong-willed and dynamic and well-written as those were, so pretty much I'll be par for the course." It's a shame the bimbos get all the press, as there have been just as many singularly memorable Bond girls as deplorable ones IMHO, sprinkled through out the series (even ones in between). I don't think the "cliche" Bond girl is all that accurate, but that's just me. Not like EON hasn't embraced the cheesecake, but the split seems to me to be more even than overly-weighted toward the Denise Richards end of things. JMHO and patiently waiting for the stereotype to shift.

I agree this is a concern. One of the things That made CR great, were the suspenseful casino scenes and the sharp dioalogue between Bond & Vesper, punctuated by the occasional action scenes. If they bundle in too many action scenes and not enough script you end up with TND!
Speaking of the famous trunks scene and all that- I heard Gemma Arterton on the radio saying that she's in what will be 'an iconic scene'; something that'll be remembered in Bond lore. I wonder what that could be?

Nina Nanner sounds like a British police car siren. She should have her own show, just for her name alone. The Nina Nanner Show.

If you have a look at the BBC news site you'll see lots of photos of Craig and chums happily posing at the press conference.
