What lyric could you rhyme with 'Quantum of Solace'
How about:
'I'm in a Quantum of Solace,
I feel as blue as Reg Hollis*'
*out of the UK police series The Bill!
I tell you what, its not easy!

My Quantum of Solace
When I ride the underground
I use the Hill that is Dollis
@merseytart
Splendid! Much better than mine!
That Gromit and Wallace
Would be better than Craig
As Bond, I'm afraid
Roger Moore 1927-2017
How about something completely different?
Hold tight, hold on tight now,
It's down, down to the wire,
Set my hopes up way too high,
Comfort's in the way we die
Wo-oh-oh-oh, Quantum of Solace...
Quantum of Soloce's theme song could completely avoid the words "Quantum of Solace" and be solely about revenge or what not.
A warning to David Arnold: I've copyrighted this
You beat my testicles
And made me grimace
Twas weeks before Vesper
And I could have coitus
It's time for some payback
A Quantum of Solace
For me
The queen has her jewels
And me, I have mine
You messed with the wrong ones
You abominable swine
It's time for some payback
A Quantum of Solace
For me
007's my number
My license to kill
You threatened my "numbers"
My license to thrill
It's time for some payback
A Quantum of Solace
For me
I'm thinking Tom Jones on vocals ...
You had me at testicles.
I laughed sooo hard! great song, HH!

Yes that is true, but its not half as much fun as trying to shoehorn this title into the lyrics!
There are some brilliantly inventive people on this site - very impressive! {[]
Let's bring back Dame Shirley Bassey to do one more Bond song.
While I don't care much for most of the action music David Arnold has come up with- with a few exceptions such as "Backseat Driver"- and not at all for Eric Serra's, most of the slower pieces (including Serra's, JFF!) in the last half-dozen Bonds hold up well compared to the classic cues IMHO. Pieces such as "City Of Lovers" (CR06), "Casino" (TWINE) and "That's What Keeps You Alone" (GE- Serra) work both onscreen and off, and deserve to be ranked with John Barry work such as "Try" (OHMSS) and "The Wedding" (YOLT). Barry still rules this particular corner of film music land, but Arnold can hold his own with these softer tracks.
The action music is where the biggest difference lies. All too often Arnold relies on pounding percussion and orchestral stabs- "Miami International" (CR06), "Antonov" (DAD)- while Barry's comparable pieces- "Battle At Piz Gloria" (OHMSS), "Golden Gate Fight" (AVTAK)- utilise rousing melodies and exciting arrangements to provide the energy.
As to la Bassey returning, I seem to recall a quote from David Arnold saying he'd like to work with her but TPTB felt she wasn't contemporary enough to do another Bond song.
I agree wholeheartedly with this. I felt that Arnold's work in TND was enjoyable, but TWINE really wore on me with it's repetitous percussion. This, couple with my distaste for Madonna's title track, prevented me from purchasing the DAD soundtrack.
