Omega Seamaster: will this pass for Bond?

Howdy! I'm new to this forum (thanks to the Mantis) so please feel free to beat me up.:D
Okay, so I recently purchased an Omega Seamaster (second hand for a very good price!), though I'm not entirely sure what model it is. What I do know is it's not the one of the two DC wears in CR. This one has a "GMT" hand.
First question. Though not accurate, can I still call this my Bond watch and you guys not kill me?
Second question: What the hell is "Greenwich Mean Time" and how do I work that funky dial?
Last question: Will I ever really need the "gas release valve" if I haven't dived in years? :))
Thanks in adavance for your support and hopefully, some enlightenment.

    Howdy, FJ,

    welcome to the forum.
I will leave it up to others to beat you :)), but here are my thoughts on your questions:
    1. I would not call it the James Bond Omega officially. But to make it clear, if you tell others about your watch, you could tell people, that you have the Omega James Bond model with GMT and most of them will understand.
    2. As you may know, the world is divided into time zones and the GM time is the official time +/- o hours. In Sydney, the time is GMT +10 hours. I don't know exactly how to operate the GMT hand as I don't know, if it can be set independently from the hour hand (like my Rolex GMT Master II) or not.
    3. If you are not a professional diver using a helium-oxygen mixture in a capsule, you won't have to use the helium valve. The helium valve prevents the crystal from popping out after being in a helium atmosphere for a time and returning back to normal air. The compressed helium inside of the watch needs a way to escape, either the crystal popping out, or the helium valve.

    Enjoy your watch!
