alternative title

as quantum of solace was only decided on as the title of the new bond movie "a few days ago"does anyone know what were the other titles they had in mind?
i mean the real alternatives,not what you would have liked or what you guess they would have thought about.
myself, i'm growing quite fond of qos.i didn't think much of it before the announcement,but seeing it in black and white,i think they made the right choice.

I believe 'Quantum of Salero' was a title choice. Now where was it that I heard that? 8-)

I like Quantum of Solace because it's an actual Ian Fleming title--which is perfectly fitting for the James Bond film that's going to be released to coincide with Ian Fleming's hundredth birthday.

And of course, the words themselves are not in common usage--which definitely makes this title unique and memorable.That's something every Bond title should be.

Happily the words "Die" and "Kill" do not appear anywhere--nor does the word "Gold".(I predict that we'll see them return soon enough, and in original titles designed to supposedly evoke the Fleming style)

I was not happy about this title at the beginning but as time goes by I am starting to warm up to it.

I don't think that a 'Bond Exec' would publicly say anything that negative about past Bond films. Anonymously or not.
