My brother is getting married!!!!!!

It's my absolute joy to announce :D :D :D :D :D that on Sunday, my brother will be marrying his girlfriend of more than 9 years. {[] I have been looking forward to this ever since I discovered they were serious, and in fact my brother would probably say that he's getting married as much, if not more because I want it as because he wants it. :))

I would have extended an invitation to all of you, although we are attempting to keep numbers down and I don't know how many of our friends and relatives will mind not being invited. However, in no way should that discourage anyone from sending gifts. So as not to embarass anybody, I'll inform you by PM which gifts are expected. If money is an issue, then you can combine your resources to buy a special gift such as a car. Feel free to surprise my brother. :v

Anyway, I am just really excited as I've been waiting for this event since mid last year when it was announced, and it's finally arriving! {[] {[]

    You seem awfully stoked about this. Will this marriage put you in line to inherit the Same Family Fortune or something?

    Seriously though, congratulations to your brother and his fiancee. May they both enjoy a hundred lifetimes of happiness together.

    If we bring gifts, can my band set up in front of the estate? (We could open for Barbel)

    Seriously, congrats to your brother, Dan. -{

    Congratulations to your brother for stepping off of the curb, blindfolded, into rush hour traffic, Dan. Or a facsimile thereof... :D

    Seriously, I hope that their marriage is a healthy & happy one. All the best.

    :)) No, it's because I'm a bit of a romantic (well, more than a bit ;%) and so I really love the idea of my brother getting married. ;)

    Of course. Barbel will be handling the music for much of the night, but I'm sure he won't mind if you take care of a few sets. Perhaps you could play music (Bond of course) when my family and I (we're doing things a little differently) walk down the aisle?

    You got married in Vegas, Loeff? You don't seem the type to have a drive thru chapel wedding!!

    Not a drive-through; it was all reasonably proper: I in a brand new suit, my lovely and long-suffering wife in a dress hand-made by her mother (also in attendance). It was the Silver Bell Wedding Chapel...on Las Vegas Blvd if I remember right B-)

    Most of our families went out for the trip. Our after-wedding dinner was a buffet at the Mirage...then we gambled late into the night, puffing cigars at a blackjack table in the old 'Mint' casino...on the way out, Another Loeffelholz plunked a single quarter in a slot machine---won about $200, and took us out for breakfast at about 3:00 AM :D

    A grand day and night...

    I started with lead in my teens but decided I was was better suited on the big bottom.

    Just a happy go lucky group, in their late 30s, playing small local watering holes. Rock and old school metal - Great way to release stress.

    (blasphemy, no Bond, we haven't an orchestra!)

    Cheers! -{

    Well, whadya know?! I was never brilliant on lead but a hand injury several years ago (I've still not got full control of the ring finger on my left hand) made bass the logical option which I've pursued ever since though I still play acoustic in my solo act.

    Playing small local watering holes is the way to go!
