T/Ball Vulcan Mini

The Imperial War Museum online giftshop has a lovely wooden replica of the Vulcan bomber, as used in Thunderball. It is a bit expensive, but a wonderful addition to your Bond collection. You can go onto the Imperial War Museum site,London branch, and click on "online shopping". There you will find the Vulcan, and several other interesting models and miniatures. Sorry, I'm over 40, so I don't know how to post a link.
Cheers

When I first read your post, my heart was striking faster: I have not been reading very deeply and assumed, that someone made a model of the YOLT volcano layer, but now that I calmed down, I realize, that my hopes have mislead me....

The IWM also made a couple of mistakes in their write-up of this model:
Avro Vulcan B2 XH588 G-VLCN. The Vulcan first flew in 1952 and this aircraft is presently being restored to flight status. A scale model of XH588 appeared in the 1965 James Bond film Thunderball.

The correct serial is XH558 (I've taken enough photos of this plane that the number comes as second nature) - I also checked a Military Aircraft listing just to reassure myself.

One of the scale models used in Thunderball is currently owned by the "Vulcan to the Sky Trust" and is now marked up as XH558.

I also notice from their website

that the Vulcan is again in need of funds to keep her flying, anybody out there with a rich uncle?
