Grigio Perla trunks available again

For those that haven't gotten them and still want them, www.laperlausa.com has gotten the trunks in again. The retail has gone up to $122 but they have free shipping. Also for the little guys they have mediums which were never available in US stores to my knowlege.

www.glamonweb.com also has them for those across the pond.

If either are out of your size, keep checking. They seem to be regularly restocking.

100 time more affordable and actually beleive it or not more accurate to the screen used trunks

i dont give a toss about a label inside the trunks or how much they cost or all that bol***ks...

the trunks he wore clearly did not ahve a badge on the outside...

anyone who is interested in accuracy will know what i mean by this.

the trunks i have given a link to at £17 are more accurate than the perla trunks available.

I'm very happy you're happy with your purchase.

I actually spoke to this guy about making the black ones from the end of the movie. When I asked him for actual pics of his blue trunks rather than doctored pics of real GPs, I never heard from him again. In turn, he lost any business I might have given him, regardless of his quality or so called accuracy. I have seen that he made totally inaccurate black trunks though.

Although you're satisfied with his product, back then a fellow I talked to was reselling an item bought from your seller because of lack of quality and service. Cheap non-functional drawstring and no give in fabric at all were the problems he had, not to mention the same lack of correspondence after the problem arose.

Could you please try to be a little less condescending to those of us ignorant enough to want a totally screen inaccurate high quality product.

    Thanks

There is nothing like the actual ones...I am the fortunate owner of the real ones and an unfortunate owner of the replica discussed above and there is a MAJOR difference in quality, stitching etc.

    My opinion of course...

Ditto what Mantis said, I have both and the replicas are awful in terms of material, quality and construction compared to the real thing. Besides if you really want your Grigios to be screen accurate all you have to do is unpick the badge.

I'll have to get a pair this time around. Do you guys know if a Medium would fit a 30 waist?

I'd go with a large as they are very very tight. I'm a 32" and the XL is snug.

I happen to have the real deal as well and have considered removing the blue dot. Has anyone done this and if so, how did they turn out. My only concern is that if I remove the dot I may leave stitch holes behind that could run or get bigger. Just not sure if I want to let the genie out of the bottle if you know what I mean. Any comments from someone who could speak to this concren would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I tried both and honestly while there's a difference one lying on top of the other, there's not that much difference in actual fit.

I suppose thats true. In the end there's only one size.... TIGHT!

I also have a 30" waist and bought a large. In my opinion, they fit just right.

    Incidentally,...

I placed my order with LaPerla online late Wednesday night. After realizing that I was way to optimistic in the sizing, I called them last night (Thursday night) to change the order, but it was after hours, so I left a message. They called me back first thing this morning. They told me it had already gone out, but that I could easily return or exchange it. Meanwhile, the package arrived at my desk at about 11:00am this morning (Friday). Less than 36 hours from the time the order was placed to the time it hit my desk.

Needless to say, I was very impressed with LaPerla's customer service.

Kittlemeier i do appologise for my comments at the start of this post...

my shorts are displayd in a similar fasshion to the mantis .... on a manequine waist.

so i cannot comment on comfort or what they feel like on i bought them simply for display ....

    so please i appologise.

but i stick to my opinion of them looking great on display .. and looking very accurate in terms of looks.

    thanks to all .
  • KittlemeierKittlemeier U.S.Posts: 432MI6 Agent
No problem. I'm sure they look great on display.

Just don't go telling any Belstaff Hero owners that their jackets suck because Tom Cruise's jacket didn't have the badge on the left sleeve. You'd probably really catch hell then.{[]

Can someone tell me how fast do these trunks dry?
I have a similar pair of trunks made by Speedo, and it takes forever for them to dry, hence they are not very practical.
    Thanks.

My wife and I are going on a belated honeymoon to Mexico in a few weeks time. Now I don't have DC's physique (I've more of a keg than a six pack) but I did want to try and entice the woman I'm madly in love with without stretching to £100+ for a pair of swim shorts that I would not dare wear in the country I live in.

So I ordered a pair from:

    http://www.clothestopose.co.uk/james-bond-style-swim-trunks-2-p.asp

Now I don't know if anyone on here has ordered from this site or not but I thought they'd be a nice 'treat' for the missus as I emgerge from the sea. :))
