I promised myself I woudn't watch it on you tube, but alas I have ;%
This looks so brilliant, and I'm even more excited now. I'm still going to see Hancock to see it on a big screen.

I think it looks awesome. Hard to judge whether the formula has changed from CR, as the teaser is only meant to excite, and with all the action, it certainly does.
Haven't seen it yet, gotta wait till I get home. But I thought that quick shot in the previously released clip of the motorcycle jump from the impossible POV of right behind the shoulder was a better "money shot" than the CR car roll, if only cuz of the impossible nature of the QOS shot. The car rolling over a lot was cool, but the moving-camera POV tracking of a stunt is cooler.
Well I wasn't really comparing the two, but if we must I'd say that the difference isn't about the quality of the stunts but the fact that the Aston roll showed Bond failing big time; and that was something we hadn't seen before in a Bond trailer (or perhaps even film). So the CR (full) trailer gave us a bit more of a surprise than this teaser does.
There's nothing wrong with it, it all looks good and very well shot- it's just not very surprising.
Earlier this morning I saw a 20 second teaser on a morning programme, so it was good to finally see the trailer. What do I think of it? I like it. I think the action looks really impressive and I don't mind the rogue agent element at all. However, the biggest weakness IMO is M. Why, oh why, can't we have a Bond film in which Dench's M doesn't psychoanalyse Bond? The worst scene of CR IMO was the one in M's apartment. It looks like we will have a similar scene in QOS. 8-)

And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

Becasue she is a woman, and that's what women like to do (IMO) ) Especially when it comes to blunt instruments like bond, she will want to understand him (even dare I say, mother him/protect him, while trying to keep a professional tone obviously) I have to say, I really like the relationship between the two, although, for some, I know it's tedious/or unnecessary, but for me I like the fact there is action plus a good amount of "getting under the skin" Not for all tastes though I suspect!

What I don't like about it is that I feel it's the producers's way of trying to 'explain' Bond. I don't want to have Bond 'explained' as if he is some kind of psychology patient. Plus, the way it is done is IMO rather crummy anyway. I thought that the scene in M's apartment in CR was horrendously written, even apart from my hatred of the intention of the scene. X-(
But, as you point out, alot of people seem to like the relationship between Bond and M, which shows how different tastes can be.

Just saw the trailer for about the 50th time haha i can understand the very bourne like qualities shown in the trailer with M saying "find Bond" and having Bond on his own and all, I thought the trailer was amazing, even though i wish we heard more of that bond theme towards the end.
Yeah, too Bourne for me. And it's the unwieldy dialogue that M is given, which an actor should tiptoe thru like it's a minefield but instead gets the bull in a chinashop John Prescot treatment... "inconsolable grief..." these are words you read, not say. Unless you're spelling it out kind of sarcastically but M isn't here.
Nice looking movie though, a bit too much like C Royale re-emphasising it's a sequel. No Cold War E European vibe to it.

Indeed. A little bit of each, I think, is what is making this series of Bond so appealing.
Funnily enough I really like the scene where Bond was in M's apartment, it kind of proved that Bond was not threatened by M's position, and put her on the back foot, almost showing off, which IMO men like to do when backed into a corner. (well my husband does anyway )
General rule of thumb, women like touchy feely emotional stuff, men tend to prefer action, action and more action, without the reasons behind the behaviour.

I do think though that it Bond is portrait as a loss cannon. It is almost asif they cant control him. I am starting to get the feeling of Licence to kill again.
Can someone put up another link please. The youtube one is gone and the other isn't working for my stupid computer. I'M GOING TO LOSE MY MIND IF I DON'T SEE IT SOON!!!

The second embedded video works (at this time of posting):

I agree. With the success of CR I feel they've traded in one formula for another, taken to the extreme. I was hoping QoS would merge the successful elements of CR while also bringing back elements of the earlier Bond films in an attempt to evolve Bond's character. Instead I feel like its headed even MORE towards the Bourne movies, with not just a more intense tone and high energy chases but now the whole on-the-run-with-both-sides-after-him element.
I found it a great action/thriller trailer but didn't do much for me as a James Bond trailer, except for that quick shot of Craig with Gemma Arterton.
Looks fantastic. I can't wait to see this film! I love the fact that is started out with the interrogation of Mr. White and I don't think the Bond on the run angle is too much like Bourne at all.

Feck, WOW!!!!!!! Awsome trailer, this should be better than CR. What I dont understand is why people want to go back to the old day, ala Brozzer films. Its a new age and a new era, get over it already!!!!!
Well, it's got me going!! Very early to say, but it looks very different from CR, certainly a lot less glamourous, but thankfully still as vibrant and rich in colour. The Aston chase looks very promising indeed, and Agent Fields has a very classy, almost Audrey Hepburn-look to her.
The shot of him walking over the crest of that desert hill, dressed to the nines and packing a serious machine gun, great!

I am with Ant on this one (sorry Nap!).
The only reason that the Bond films lasted more than a couple of sequals is because of their ability to move and change with the times. It's the 21st Century now, and Craig has proved that he is certainly a 21st century Bond, NOT BOURNE!
This is a Bond film through and through, NOT BOURNE! The girls, cars, boats, action, adventure and the sharp suits etc.
Oh, BTW, did I mention it's NOT BOURNE!
I think it's gonna be awesome. Now, back to that bloody diet if I am ever going to get Craig's bod by the time the movie is released.

What if we like the old days?

The movie may be cool when released, but that trailer sucked. Quantum Ultimatum? Bond Supremacy? everything in that trailer we've seen before (and done better...did someone say Jason Bourne?) and the "rogue agent" angle is just tired......very disappointing.

Well I personally think its a fantastic trailer! Better than both of Casino Royale's. QoS looks incredibly intense!
The action looks superb
Bond looks... angry
I love the music
Not much of Green revealed at all - nice element of mystery there.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
This is better quality
