the jacket looks to be black but of course thats just my opinion, it reminds me of the jacket that jason bourne wore throughout the Bourne Ultimatum, its not flashy or anything and good for blending in or undercover work.

I actually think the jacket looks black too. There are two things that make me think it is a true navy blue. First is as I run the image through a spectral analyzer, it shows up in the blue tones. That doesn't really mean anything. A lot of that has to do with the photographer and lighting and several other things I can't control.
The second is the brown shoes. They are with out a doubt brown. It is gouache to wear a black jacket with a midnight/navy blue shirt with brown shoes. I doubt wardrobe would make that mistake.
There is a precedent for wardrobe faux pas, however. Pierce wore a black belt with brown monk straps in TWINE with the white linen suit.
Just a small interjection, from the Pics, you can clearly see that the soles of the chocolate brown suede chukkas are made from Dainite. Judging from that and the styling of the boot itself, I'd say that these are almost definitely not John Lobb, but Crockett & Jones Tetbury, a downsight cheaper I suppose, maybe saving this means I get some Oliver Peoples?....
not necessarily disagreeing that the shoes may not be john lobb, but...
lobb has had many standard offerings of suede chukka with dainite sole. in fact, when i was looking into getting the Romsey suede boot last year, they only had them in stock with the dainite sole. it is quite common, because of the relative casual combination of a suede and chukka style, for these boots to have dainite on them from many makers...including lobb.
Can you guys who own a Sunspel let me know if you're happy with them? Are they really worth the price tag?
With so many navy polos out there that fit the bill (as far as I'm concerned) I'm still struggling with finally caving and just getting one!
I just got mine the other day finally, (You guys are turning me into a die-hard clothes collector!) and I think it's one of the nicest, best fitting polos I've ever warn. So different than your average polo.
Never mind about the shoes being Clarks. Just saw the bottom of sole and they aren't right, though Clarks would be a good budget substitute in my opinion.
That is funny. I was just looking at Crockett & Jones shoes last night, having nothing to do with 007.
Here is a little tidbit, especially for you 007 on a budget people. I was in my local Target store and saw stone coloured 5-pocket styled twill pants with a tapered leg instead of boot cut. Looked a lot like our man's trousers.
In my opinion, bond isn't terribly well dressed in those pictures. His shoes don't seem to go with his black jacket, and the jacket is extremely similar to one I used to wear about 7-8 years ago. He just doesn't seem well dressed enough for bond. I don't mean that in a way that he's not formal enough, but even for casual clothes, it just doesn't look well put together.

Sharpe - I was thinking the same thing. Like old school "Members Only" jacket.
A few observations from this page and these pictures. That jacket looks black in these shots and I still think the pants are stone. There is a guy on the boat in a navy shirt and in juxtaposition that jacket looks black.
The villain 'Elvis' has the most heinous haircut I have ever seen on anyone, so he must been evil. Anybody with a haircut like that has to be evil.

Yes, that was awful.
