    It was a Heckler & Koch UMP9

A very good weapon system and successor to the MP series. I've never fired one, but we used to have an MP5 on our range. That was a hoot to shoot, if somewhat expensive.

I believe it is closely related to the G36 as well.

I have a G3 clone in 7.62mm and the MP series uses a similar stamped and rolled receiver but a bit shorter because of the bolt size, but the UMP series uses an entirely different receiver design.

I've never seen one in person.

An electric airsoft version of the UMP manufactured by G&G can be had in the neighborhood of $275. I've seen videos of it being fired. Looks like a lot of fun for indoor use when you can't get to the range.

I agree, it is a good system. At my office, we've used the MP5K andd the MP5SD for many years. We have recently switched over to the H&K G36C and the H&K 416. Had way too many years on the range with the MP5's...going to miss them. Still, the G36C is a classy weapon system. Cheers

I bought a deactivated version with custom suppressor. Cost me several K due the rarity :o That's what happens when your a Bond gun nut. Make sure it complies with the VCR act though.

This would have to be a UK only deal due to the law surrounding replicas, you should know that by now revilo ;)

    Excuse me X-(

:D Can't you get the airsoft version in Sweden? All you need to do is buy a MP5 magazine for it, the suppressor should be easy to find too. Several companies in Europe make numerous silencer models for airsofts.

Is it breaking against the law to export non-firing replicas from UK to another countries in Europe? ?:) ?:) ?:)

I would imagine that exporting something that looks, smells and feels like a firearm would be full of legal problems, a literal minefield. It's bad enough that we can't buy BB guns here now, unless we are a member of a skirmishing club, and I'm too old (and knackered) to play at soldiers.

    Yes.

Apparently, you have to be a regular airsofter... which is BS of course....

Not really into machine pistols, but bought one of these just before (the day before) the current ban came into being, how close is it? (Remembering of course not to attach the laser & sights etc).
