Bond in Hong Kong

I'm going next month for a couple of weeks and wondered what sights I could see that were used in the films - anyone been and could give me a few pointer.
From TMWTGG, I will do the Bottoms Up club and I Hai Fat's garden, but that's all I can think of.

    Hello DV,

the Bottoms Up is not located anymore in Kowloon, you now find it in a different location on HK Island. The interior has remained a bit. I have never been able to find Hai Fat's garden.

Surely, you will find the Peninsula Hotel there, only the Rolls Royce limousine models have changed (not to forget the 2 towers behind the hotel).

You may also like to take the ferry to Macau but the hydrofoil port is a lot different now.

Last year, we have done a 3 nights short trip to Phuket booked by a local travel agent, which has not been too expensive. It has been US$ 500,-- for flight and 3-star hotel 3 nights and you may have the chance to visit James Bond Island plus a stopover in Bangkok there. The entire island area there is magic!

Yeah I went to the Penisula Hotel; I'd forgotten that we see Roger outside it (with that stunning suit lining he has!) in GoldenGun until I saw it! There's a nice bar at the top which is worth visiting it for.

Thanks for the responses - hadn't thought of the Penninsula Hotel so will go there! My brother-in-law has already been to the Bottoms Up club so he knows where it is so that's a definite. I'm sure he said that Hai Fat's garden is actually there in the same form - I will report back on this of course.

As for the trip to Bangkok and James Bond island, I would love to do that, but will be going with my two young kids so it won't be practical this time round - maybe in a few years!!

Don't forget that it's not the one that was in the film as it's moved premises.

You definitely should go with this small train to 'The Peak'.
The view is breathtaking! A View To a Kill!

... not to forget the skyline view from Kowloon (in front of the Peninsula hotel) Keep in mind that the platform is closed after 22:00

Plus the Star Ferry is a must!

The skyline view from the top of the Peninsula Hotel is pretty good too- they have a designer bar up there anyone can go to.

Well, just come back from my 8-day trip and loved it.

Had high-tea in The Penninsula Hotel and also went to the Bottoms Up club but couldn't find Hai Fat's garden anyway (I believe it's called Dragon Garden). Most people I spoke to said it was nowhere near Hong Kong or Kowloon!

Will report more when I'm over my jetlag.......
