T-Shirt comparison

Has anyone bought here bought American Apparel t-shirts? If you have: how do they compare to the Sunspel t-shirts?

I have heard a lot of good things about AA, as well as they are nicer, in the long run, (i.e. after repeated laundering, et cetera), than Sunspel. The latter statement was in regard to the Sunspel undershirts, not the Bond shirts.

Anyone know?

I have both in gray and white. AA makes an excellent t-shirt. The Sunspel is somewhat softer and lighter weight. But I think that AA would last better under repeated laundering. The fit for the AA is excellent and equal to the Sunspel. AA is manuafactured as well as the Sunspel.

Over all, AA is a great budget alternative and I would recommend highly.

I find AA tees to be a great quality and good CR substitutes especially for the white low cut v neck tee worn in the Venice boat scene at the end of the movie. Be on the lookout for GAP tees as well for CR grey tee substitute. I got a couple a few weeks ago and they are dead ringers for the Sunspel grey tees. But be very picky about the model you purchase because they have quite a few different plain pocketless grey tees and they are not all Sunspel clones. Most have got an overlock seam around the collar band or have collar bands that are a bit wide (the AA tees have a collar band that is a tiny bit too wide as well)... The one you should look for has a thin collar band and no overlock seam. It is harder to find but it 100% dead on... got those for 14.99$... a steal!
