Potential Bond-girls

It has been pinted out, very sensibly, that suggesting actresses for a spesific Bond-movie before we know anything about the plot is a bit silly. On the other hand, suggesting actresses who you think would be great Bond girls and posting pictures of them is fun and aesthetically pleasing. So the solution is simple: here is a thread where we can do that without thinking of a particular movie. If (on the other hand) we learn that they are looking for an actress from the Pasific Islands or something, we can start a thread about that in the forum for that movie.

Here are some suggestions for starters:

Melonie Diaz: american, born 1984. The breakthrough star of this years Sundance-festival. Was in "Be kind, rewind" and "a guide to recognizing your saints"

http://imdb.com/media/rm821531136/nm0246686

Christina Hendricks: Americans, born 1978. Has appeared in som TV-series, including "Firefly".
Looks amazing! Did you know last time a red-head was the female lead in a Bond-film was in 1978?

http://imdb.com/name/nm0376716/

Wei Tang is a good asian candidate. She stars in Ang Lees film "Lust/Caution". This 29 year-old was picked out from 10 000 chinese actresses to play the lead!

http://imdb.com/name/nm2325018/
She looks like this:

She is not shy - rumour has it that the sex scenes where "method"-acting ...

I always thought Michelle Ryan would be a good Bond girl (mostly because of her looks!)

I have suggested her before, and I'll do it again:

    Maria Bonnevie:

She looks amazing, she is a very good actress, she is unknown for the mainstream international audience, she is 33 years old and shorter than Daniel ...

I have mentioned before that I would like to see more talented, dark-kinned and volutous black woman in future Bond movies. The few black Bond-girls we have seen so far have been skinny and witha light skinn tone. so why not go to Africa to find one:
Kate Henshaw-Nuttall is nigerian and perhaps the biggest african filmstar there is. Did you know "Nollywood" has the third largest output of movies in the world after Bollywood and Hollywood?

    Here is her website:http://www.katehenshawnuttall.com/

What other wood's are there. I had never heard of Nollywood. But third out of three isn't that hard an achievement.

I hadn't heard about "Nollywood" before either.
But remember there are other major movie-making centers around the world, Hollywood is not alone.
Michelle Yeoh came out of chinese cinema, and she was the best thing in TND. I think talented (and beautiful ...) people from other cultures could be a greay asset for the Bond films.

    How about Miley Cyrus?

Miley Cyrus as a Bond girl!

Is it the age gap between her and DC?
Is it her stellar acting in Hannah Montana?
Is her recent popularity in any way connected to her newfound interest in self-portrait photography?

    I'm just asking:v

You gentlemen realize of course that we're all potential Bond girls; we just haven't met the wrong woman yet. :D

Is this the girl from the tv show Bionic Woman. Not sure but was watching Transformers and Rachel Taylor would make a good MoneyPenny. From her bio on IMBd she was born in Austraiila. I guess I am not the only one who thinks so.
Bond: You don't think I enjoyed what we did this evening, do you? What I did tonight was for King and country! You don't think it gave me any pleasure, do you?
Fiona: But of course, I forgot your ego, Mr. Bond. James Bond, who only has to make love to a woman and she starts to hear heavenly choirs singing.

Yes, Michelle Ryan is the new Bionic Woman; she was also in the UK soap Easterenders, which either says little for US shows or a lot of British ones.....
My personal fav is the Slovak actress from Hostel Barbara Nedeljakova, not as young as some and much tastier for it, she also has that exotic East European look and sexy accent...

Interesting choice. I agree about the East European look, I just don't know if Bond would fall for her...of course, my Slovak wife has that East European look and I fell for her. :x

My pick, Emmanuelle Chriqui. For me she has an innocence about her and yet can pull of some different moods as a Bond girl. Plus she could pass for many different backgrounds (America, Canadian, Latino, American Indian, Indian, Middle Eastern...she could pull it off if she needed to.

    Good call, Youknowmyname!
Here is another. I saw Iron Man the other day, and I was blown away by the looks of Leslie Bibb. She really didn't have a chance to show of much acting skills, but she looks amazing!
Perhaps she should have a similar part in a Bond film - a small but underdressed supporting character?

Small but underdressed? Your words would sweep any woman off their feet! :007) Yes, she would good Bond girl material certainly. I think she has enough acting chop to make it as well for say a larger appropriately dressed role. :D

Given that you dont really have to act in a Bond film...I'd go with that. I saw Iron Man yesterday and Leslie Bibb was the best thing in it - well, in scenery terms anyway. Confident, sexy, alluring. Definate Bond material, though maybe she's just a bit too American....

My comments may not have been very sensestive to women and contemporary-minded men, you have a point there. But since this is all anonymous, I can call a spade a spade. I love talented women and even overdressed women. Above you can read about very talented actresses suggested by me.
But If you study Bibb's CV, it's not exactly filled with theatre work under the guidence of
Ingemar Bergman (that is Maria Bonnevie).
So she might be a great actress, but there is no evidence to suggest that. But we do know she has some talent and she looks amazing. It would be far more condesending if I hade written that she is "clearly a first-rate actress based on what she has done before", don't you think?

Sorry, no worries about the comment. I actually chuckled at the way you put it. I didn't mean to attack you at all, I would also hope she would make an "underdressed" appearance as you put it. Sorry for making you write that quasi apology/defense. Cheers mate, no worries! :D

I probably sounded (read ...?) more more defensive/agressive than I ment to. I did get there was an element of hunor in your reply.
No hard feeling at any time of our conversation, that's good!

you boys have spent some time thinking about this haven't you?

i was thinking about this the other day and I rather think that my wife is my favorite bond girl eh?

for the CR premiere she put on a tiny little black dress for me as I was put up in a tux :007)

as George Lazenby would say, "good girl."

    Gotta love her.

Here's a link to my lovely wife and I at a wedding...not the premiere, I will have to put up a pic of us at the NZ premier of QOS though, we'll be all done up for it for sure. :D

What do you think of Kathrine Heigel becoming a bond girl? She is beautiful, talented and a quickly rising star. she is also different compared to bond girls the last say .... 20 years.
She is blonde, has a naturally very curvy body, she has a great mind for comedy. I don't want back to the RM, but perhaps a american blond with a full body who tells great jokes would be overdue in a bond film?

perhaps this isn't the place for me, but I can't believe you boys have left this girl out of your ideas....

    Megan Fox.

I thought she was the latest sex on legs...I know my husband would be VERY happy to see her as a Bond girl. (although I prefered the blond Austrailian in transporters Rachel Taylor ;) )
She's worth whatever chaos she brings to the table and you know it. ~ Mark Anthony

I always thought Hilary Swank would make a good Bond girl; she's attractive (but not in a fragile or supermodel kind of way), has good acting chops, and past roles would suggest she would be good with stunts and other physical stuff.
