From here, all UK customers will receive theirs next day, and overseas customers will receive theirs within 4 working days.
The EU price, including VAT, will be £255 for the polarised version and £223 for the photochromic version.
The tax free price for our non-EU customers will be £229.50 for the polarised and £202.50 for the photochromic.
These prices include delivery, case & cloth.
We will be taking all balances on Monday the 21st July so if you are paying by paypal, please make sure you check your account that day!
I would also like to take this opportunity to ask if you would confirm if you would like a polarised pair or a photochromic pair, please email me back ASAP so I can secure you a pair.
Many thanks

You're quite right, Asp9mm X-(
These sunglasses would be right at the very end of my price bracket (ie. if I really wanted them I could just afford them) but, as they wouldn't suit me, I'm not buying them.
as soon as somebody has a pair in hand please post your initial thoughts. i'm still contemplating buying a pair and i'd like the opinion of someone I can trust on them. thanks in advance

Hopefully by the end of next week we will receive them. A few days ago I received an email stating that AO will get them on the 10th..
Went to my optician and ordered the glasses today.
I went throught the Aeros they had for color reference and it's not midnight polarized, but platinum polarized that's worn in the pics. I realize platinum sounds like it would be mirrored but it's not, just dark grey. I didn't see a lens called midnight but platinum is the one that's offered in the Airmans.
Also, I'm not sure these are going to be limited. They had a brand new catalog with the Airmans in all colors(gold, birch, silver, black) with a large selection of lenses also. The optician said they were told by OP that the frame was being added back into the line for at least the season.
I have seen op airman sunglasses sold on ebay from sellers with 100% feedback for $250.The sellers claim that they are authentic and looking at the pictures I have no reason to doubt them.
Err... if the Oliver Peoples Airman Silver with polarised lenses is not limited and the gold frame will be avalaible at the end of the year, I will cancel my order from Adam Simmonds as soon as this info will be confirmed.
I hope we'll know that before they will have in stock.
The ONLY difference between these and the limited edition ones are the lenses. The ones I purchased on ebay were a brown and I loved the contrast... I purchased these in addition to the limited ones so I could have an every day pair and as the Ebay ones were only $250 they seemed like a bargain. BTW, I already took these to to an Occulist that carries OP in my area to possibly have perscription lenses put in and he did confirm these were OPs. This could have been older stock etc...so I wouldn't panic yet.
The price was and will still be $450 for the correct frame/lens combo, limited or not. The only difference is that if it's not limited, then there's not as much urgency to go ahead and get them(other than the fact that their popular frames tend to sell out and go on back order anyway). I wouldn't cancel any orders personally.
i've been checking ebay religiously for OP Airman's for the last three weeks and nothing has come up with the QOS screen correct frame and lense colors. at any given time there seems to be anywhere from three to ten different pairs available, but all in varying colors in lenses/frames leading me to believe they are mostly older stock that is left over. and even those are ranging in price from $100-$275 U.S.
every company i've talked to says they have heard no plans on a re-release or re-stock in the future (aside from Adam Simmons and his $430 price tag in the U.S.) now im curious to see what turns up and where it turns up and for what price it turns up in these coming months in regards to these spectacles
I just picked up a pair of the silver Airman's off of ebay for $232.50. Brown lenses; but I'll take them in and get some grey ones from Lenscrafters. Besides being polarized, is there anything odd about the lenses? (blue-grey, more reflective, darker, lighter, etc.)

Seriously? I actually prefer the brown lenses and would get them if I didn't already have several with brown. I might pick up the ebay ones if I run across a pair.
The difference is brown lenses block out the higher end of the spectrum(blues, violets) and transmit the lower end(reds, greens, ambers) which our eyes focus on better(hence the color of traffic lights and all the lights on cars that are made for the veiw of other drivers). That's why looking through a brown lens will give you a more crisp view. Good for hazy days, etc.
Gray lenses are for brighter days and transmit all colors pretty evenly. Some gray lenses will have a little green or whatever mixed in for contrast. Most aren't that versatile though.
If you're seriously gonna change the lenses, at least check with OP to see what a replacement pair would cost. They might be comparable to the customs at LC and will be much nicer. My OP Riley's have glass lenses which are much more scratch resistant and have much better optics than anything you'll have made in any plastics that LC offers. Just call OP customer service and tell them you've had the pair for a while and want the gray. And then sell me the brown ones if you aren't going to use them.
$250 for OP Airman Silver w/ Brown or Gray lenses is a reasonable price. I would definately go for that rather then the $450 so called limited version.

Expect to pay at least $100 to have OP put in new lenses. That is what I was quoted for a lens swap for my pair of Victory's.
Don't get my wrong, I like the brown lenses. But I thought it would be nice to have SA ones. I've used LenseCrafters (sunglasses/lenses store) many times for prescription lenses, and I thought that they'd do non prescription lenses for a small sum of money. I already have sunglasses with brown lenses and grey lenses, so I'm not sure. If I wear them regularly, then I'll probably keep the brown lenses in. Anyway, I'll let you know, and I'll post some pictures if I end up getting the grey lenses.
By the way, if you really want a pair, make sure to check ebay daily. I checked two days in a row, and on the second day, the guy had put them up for 24 hours starting at 9:00 p.m. the previous night. I just didn't want to spend $400-$500 on sunglasses if I could wait around and spend $250. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a pair last year when the were under $150 everywhere. I already have four pairs of Oliver Peoples, but they were all on sale, and I probably wouldn't have bought them otherwise. They're certainly worth the money, but you can almost always find a better deal somewhere else.
Just got a message from CAT and it says that they are due tomorrow and that next week we will be getting them...
Good luck !
Just had the great pleasure of going in to Adam Simmonds and picking up the shades. And meeting the delightful Cat. She had just returned from posting the supply she had so you all should have them soon.
Very nice smaller size aviators.
With regard to the comments made by Arlington Beach in another thread on here, I have no reason to believe the OPs are the real thing.
Comments
Yeah, I have one too. And they've now included that information on the AS site.

Polarized platinum Peoples people, got it?
If it becomes true, all the preorders don't make really sense as we will see significantly lower prices in the next couple of months.
Has anyone more infos on this?
