Expect to pay at least $100 to have OP put in new lenses. That is what I was quoted for a lens swap for my pair of Victory's.

How much are victorys? Cheapest they can be had? Plus shipping to Australia?

Received my OP's this morning, somewhat earlier than expected!

They are a little smaller than I thought they'd be, which I think was alluded to in the earlier post. I obviously plumped for the polarised version, and despite the gray skies overhead, they are nice to look through and feel fairly light on the face. They came with their own lense cloth and plastic case but Adam Simmonds included a cloth with their own branding on it and a sturdy card box to hold them all in.Also got a nice little note from Cat enclosed.

All in all very happy with both the product and the service!

Smithers500, did the OP's you receive from Adam Simmonds have black ear pads or Gray?

Grey -which looks quite discrete on the silver arm.
It's a good question and one I neglected to cover in my earlier post,in fact, if you look at the advertised photos on the Simmonds website and click on the graduated lense photo, they appear to be grey there too.

Gray...that's what I was afraid of as the screen accurate ones have black. Oliver Peoples in New York received the ones with the gray as well. We got that news yesterday. I was hoping Adam Simmonds had the correct ones.

They are still fantastic sunglasses but I was hoping to find the black ear rubbers. Apparently from what OP NYC told me the color is not even available as an aftermarket part.

    Thanks for the quick update!

Hi, my first post, I have just bought a pair of OP Airman from Adam Simmonds. I spoke to Cat who informed me of the black ear pieces. She put a set on the sunglasses and included the grey ones if I want to change. I am sure if you rang her she would send you a pair of the black ones. I agree with the posts hear that they are definately the glasses in the film.

Any definite word on a less expensive alternative to the OP/Tom Ford sunglasses? I'll pay Persol prices but OP prices for a pair of sunglasses seem excessive.

    Unfortunately not...they are rather unique.

I feel the same as you do. What I did was buy a pair of OP aviators off eBay. There not a perfect match, but close enough and for less money than the Persols.

Was it the commander style OP? They seem to be larger than the Aeros.

They have both, the Commander (which comes in 2 sizes) and the Aero.
